During the welcome banquet, one of the newly arrived kings, Schedius, son of Iphitus, leader of the Phocians, publicly humiliates Patroclus by calling him "Achilles’ pórnoi", as it is said in Hellas. His whore.
Deipyrus, the young therapon of another of the newly arrived kings, on the other hand, finds Patroclus a man worthy of admiration and respect. And perhaps something more.

Androcles was the son of Cleomenes, commander-in-chief of Ithaca and right-hand man of the then king Laertes. As a result, he and Odysseus became childhood friends. He's the husband of Herakleia and father of twin girls, Thaleia and Theano, and his son, Evagoras. At 18, he left for the Trojan War along with Odysseus. During the war, Androcles became mostly known for his unwavering loyalty to his comrades and his readiness to defend them. After the fall of Troy, the gods’ wrath fell upon the Greeks, and the journey back home for both Androcles and Odysseus would last another 10 years. During these years, Androcles' faith was tested, but despite all the challenges, his faith remained unshaken and grew closer to Odysseus than ever. When Androcles returned to Ithaca, he, Odysseus, Telemachus, Eumaeus, his son Evagoras, and Philoitius, had slain the suitors. Then, Androcles reunited with his wife Herakleia, which she almost remarried, but Athena intervened; he also reunited with his twin daughters Thaleia and Theano, and his son Evagoras. In a world where no Iliad or Odyssey was ever written, the greek gods live their happy imortal life. But as usual the gods get bored sometime, thus every hundred years or so they start a game to "Keep humanity's faith in them". During these games the gods form fractions among themselves with the goal of turning one human who does not beleive in gods into a beleiver.
The year is 2020 our main character is Odysseus of course, he is the head of the Homeric Trade Company and the captain of the ship Penelope, names after his wife. Thanks to a deal with their friend Odysseus and his crew gets involved in the Trojan Mafia conflict. The story starts at the end of this conflict. Odysseus and his crew are ready to go home, when the gods decied that this hundered years lucky atheist to be turned will be none other than the biggest atheist to ever sail the seas Odysseus. -
