"Stefanos was mesmerizing, as he had always been. The shy teenager had metamorphosed into a charismatic stage leader, long silhouette shaped by tight-fitting black clothes, his newly tattooed and still surprinsgly muscular arms for someone who had not practiced tennis for years showing, thanks to the sleeveless leather jacket he was sporting. But what was so attractive about this new version of Stefanos was the energy he brought on stage and the desperate sound of his tone. The deep and unsure voice of the teenager was no more, replaced by the growling from another world. Daniil was profoundly shaken by the hopelessness that was coming from this almost inhuman performance. But Stefanos's face, graciously framed by his long curls, was serene. He was the enbodiment of gloom, beauty and despair, and this was definitely his right place"
Stefanos had been the light of Daniil's teenage years. They had grown up together, and brought to each other the magic that was sometimes absent in the life of a young sportsman training for an elite career. Until Stefanos quitted.
