Summary
The Doctor moved, sitting on the arm of Jamie’s chair. Reaching around, he squeezed Jamie's bicep. His touch seemed oddly cold. Not quite alive. Jamie's first frantic thought was to shake it off, but as the hand started going up and down his arm, he found it comforting. He felt small, vulnerable, afraid to face the world. Jamie hated to appear weak, but at that moment he leaned into the man's side.
It was all a rush for Jamie - first the war, then the TARDIS, never stopping, just taking everything in his stride...

Jamie joins the TARDIS crew. Everything is new to him, while his old life haunts him still. When he learns to navigate that, he learns more and more about himself and the man called the Doctor.
