Summary
The last chapter to Happily-Ever-After was supposed to be written with the End of War Manifesto that banished the villains from Auradon, but no one planned for Maleficent's Master Plan. Twenty-four years after the war is over, King Benjamin is about to ascend the throne, but there's one major roadblock - a daughter of Maleficent who has been cursed to become Queen of the Isle of the Lost with him, or else. Now, Ben and Mal need to learn to work together to rule an increasing number of kingdoms, including an Auradon in uproar over a new Queen, an Ancient Kingdom desperate to survive, an Island that has been completely severed off of Auradon to fend for itself as a new country, and a massive war that has been going on for thirty years above their heads. Meanwhile, neither is sure of the other, their forced partner who may have all their best interests at heart or who may betray them at any time. Can they balance trust, duty, want and need? When The Isle of the Lost was created 25 years ago, the rulers expected some minor consequences. They never expected the Endless Catacombs of Doom or the trials within them. Countless victories, countless deaths. The labyrinth won't be satisfied until a member of every hero and villain family in the land has passed its tests.
Red's only here to pacify her mother and secure herself a ticket out of Wonderland, but her partner for the trials isn't exactly making things easier with her annoyingly distracting face; while Chloe only wants to prove herself and protect her family, and she's not going to let her partner's snarky attitude or anything else get in the way of her mission.
The catacombs may be known for tearing people apart, but perhaps, through their harrowing trials, they can also bring some together.🜋🜋🜋🜋🜋🜋

In the original timeline, after Beast and Belle married, they united all kingdoms and declared themselves as High King and High Queen. They had been successful, almost all of the kingdoms had accepted the proposal because villains like Maleficent had scared people enough to go along with their plans.

All the children of Auradon grow up listening to stories of how their parents thwarted the villains and created the Isle of the Lost. Stories filled with dangerous villains, soul marks, and harrowing adventures to save their soulmates. But ever since the Isle was created those kinds of soulmate stories are left in the past. Unless of course your compass points towards the Isle. Finding your soulmate is an impossible task only those brave enough to shake Auradon to its core can achieve.
AKA: Everyone has a soulmate (or two), Mal has a twin brother, and Auradon has no idea what's coming.
