Against all his expectations, Goro Akechi's life ends up entangled with the Phantom Thieves to an embarrassing degree. In their twenties now, they all struggle with mundane challenges, universities and relationships and career plans. Through it all, it's... nice, to have people at his back.
Although it would be easier if he weren't in love with Akira's boyfriend.
It would be easier, also, if Yusuke didn't keep acting almost like he's in love with him back.

Summary
Councilor Mel has worked hard to maintain her perfect image as the progressive voice among city leaders, a gambit that cost a friendship. With the potential for radically new technology harnessing the arcane to be invented in her city, she wants in, but soon finds that will bring her once more into the orbit of that very ex-friend -- the workaholic young engineer Viktor from the Undercity. This is to their mutual annoyance (at least initially).
[A near-total canon rewrite/fix-it because Mel and Viktor in s2 made me so sad that i made an AU where they are both happier lol. Both Mel and Viktor POV. Emphasis on Hurt/Comfort. Eventual Meljayvik. Setup for future standalone PWP.]
