"Just what?" Five's tone turned deadly calm. "Inconvenient for you?"
There was a pause so much so even Luther winced.
"That's not what I meant" Allison said, quieter."It's just... I have a daughter, Five. I miss her every day. I think about Claire every second. Do you know what it's like to live in a world where your child doesn't even exist anymore? I lost everything. And now I'm supposed to mother Viktor too?"
Five stared at her. "He's not asking you to be his mother. He's asking you to care."
"Maybe I don't have any care left, okay?" Allison shouted, voice cracking. "Maybe I gave all of that to Claire, and there's nothing left for anyone else!"
Silence. Not even Klaus made a joke.
Five stepped forward, voice low and precise."And that. that right there is why you were the worst person to leave him with."

EDIT: I began writing this story (and posting) LONG before Elliot announced his transition, so Viktor's deadname and she/her pronouns are used. Because it also takes place long before his transition in the show, I'm keeping it, but I plan to have him transition in the story as soon as possible to stay respectful.

That’s how he found her. Crouching at the window from the fire escape, she glanced around the space, breath held hesitantly, waiting at the edge before she fully entered.
Five would like to say that, for everything he had planned out, this wasn’t anything remotely close to what he’d been expecting.
Following Five throughout TUA, with someone there to keep him from stabbing anyone (too badly) or neglecting every aspect of his health (sort of).
Okay, it’s more of a relatively feral teenager throwing granola bars at him and calling him an asshole whilst bandaging bullet wounds. But it’s not like any other dynamic here is seriously weirder.
Drabbles anywhere from 500-1800ish words. This started out as a writing exercise and then I had way too much fun with it. I hope you enjoy!
(9/2024 Update: So, season 4 was a dumpster fire. Since I don't hate these characters and actually want to give them character arcs they deserve and not do whatever the fuck Blackman tried, I'll be rewriting s4 when we get there).

Or a very canon divergent AU where a thirteen year old Number Five ends up in the apocalypse, and the Temps Commission decides for that reason that he needs to die. Thus begins ten years of hell for Five and pushes him to escape the apocalypse in 2019 with enough time to figure out how the apocalypse begins and stop it before it happens.

This is how I would have written the ending for Season 4 of The Umbrella Academy (still mourning). Spoilers for S4 are included, so proceed at your own risk.
Basically what I think would have happened if Viktor had taken the marigold from his siblings in order to save them.

The only thing really special about her was her pills that her father made her take. For her supposed anxiety. Vanya glanced at her pills in her hand and scoffed.
