Warframe: Distant, Live Users is set in an alternate universe of human exploration in a distant solar system. The game Warframe is the same as it is in this universe, but the users are in an alternate universe. This means this story has a gamer/user subplot. This story begins with original, fictitious characters that play Warframe, using virtual enhancement technology unique to this story's plot. While the user subplot is unique outside of Warframe, the Warframe game and story as compiled by Digital Extremes are used to drive events important to the overall story. Liberties are taken with the Warframe game mechanics, story and characters, but for the most part, stay relative to the cannon of events created by Digital Extremes. Again, a big thanks to all the hard-working folks at DE, and yes, I do play advanced missions, but I keep my stories in the early stages of the game for a wider audience.

If there is one thing Iden is good at, it’s sending the wrong signals. When she tries to be friendly, they think she’s flirting. When she threatens people, they think it’s a cute joke! But goodness forbade she actually tries to impress someone she’s interested in. They just think she’s outright ignoring them. Doesn’t make it better that she can’t speak above a whisper, so she’s forced to use sign language most of the time.
Just when she was going to accept her lonely life, out comes a new Warframe many have heard of but rarely seen.
Styanax, The Greatest Spartan Alive! Everyone notices his presence no matter where he is. He hangs with the strongest frames and loves to keep to himself as much as possible (due to fangirls).
Unexpected events lead Iden to accidentally gain Styanax’s attention. What’s gonna happen when he learns that she too has some crazed fans of her own.
