Washed Up Best Selling Author Rushes To Escape Post Messy Divorce?

Steve Hopper, also known as S.M. Harrington and the polarizing author of the Love Runs Wild series, was spotted early yesterday morning in the Boston International Airport following the settlement of his divorce from high school sweetheart and actress Kelly Olan, as well as claiming custody of their son, Dustin.

The divorce came as a shock to the public, as Hopper and Olan’s relationship seemed nothing but idyllic from an outside view. Growing in fame side by side and raising a family, it was a surprise to learn how harsh of a preceding the two had.

Steve closes the tab on his phone. He was there, no need to relive the last few months of his life from the outside.

He switched back to his text thread with Dustin, typing a quick 'thank you for the update 👎' back. Steve really thought he could outrun the press, but he should know better by now.

    AKA,
Steve is an author who runs away to Hawkins, Scotland after a messy divorce to reconnect with his roots and find inspiration again. What happens when he finds out that the castle, and the town, where his dad grew up is in financial trouble?

    Summary

Steve Rogers wrote a book. A book from the heart, with soul, passion, fire, third degree burn of spite from a world gone mad. James Barnes read that book. Now Steve Rogers must face his only fan, one he's not sure even read the book.

    Or...

Scrawny leftist author Steve Rogers wrote a passionate yet underperforming novel about class, passion, and privilege. A couple years after its initial publishing, James Barnes, A-List celebrity and current social media obsession, was photographed reading Rogers’ book. Was it a PR move on Barnes’ side, or does he secretly have a literary crush on the angry author from Brooklyn?

    {Gently exiting his glass door, Steve steadily approached the snoozing feline. She opened her bright yellow eyes, lazily watching him as he came closer. Then, Steve could hear Slippers purring and his heart absolutely melted. He continued towards her the last few feet slowly but she didn’t seem too apt to move. He petted her head, down her spine and her purring got louder. Steve wondered if his bottom lip was in danger of quivering.}

    Summary

The room clapped, and Steve watched as a man stepped out from somewhere behind a nearby bookshelf to approach the microphone. Edward Munson. Steve wasn’t sure what he’d expected him to look like, probably some balding middle-aged man with a beer belly, but it was just… a dude. A guy, probably around his age, with dark hair pulled into a low bun, fingers stacked with rings, wearing a Metallica shirt with dark jeans and thick combat boots. He was, well, he was kinda hot honestly.

Maybe Steve did understand why so many people were sitting in the crowd to get a glimpse of this dude.

When Steve gets dragged along to an event for the author of the Vecna's Curse series by Nancy and Dustin, he isn't expecting anything to come from the night. He's definitely not expecting Eddie Munson.

    Summary

Steve Rogers is an author with writer’s block, which is a very bad problem to have for the commercially successful author of the Captain America and the Winter Soldier book series. Frustrated and despondent, he books three summer months at a remote B&B in a New England coastal town so he can write his next novel. The sea, fresh air, and rural setting are exactly what Steve needs to unlock his imagination and fulfill some fantasies before he returns to Brooklyn.

    Summary

“This isn’t the kind of story I usually read.”

Bucky Barnes, beta, is a high-strung workaholic in the publishing industry. When he’s suddenly forced out onto vacation by his boss, much to his chagrin, he gets in the car and heads north out of Brooklyn for a month-long stay at a vacation rental on Maine’s mid-coast. His host—a mysterious omega named Steve Rogers—is an idle and lonely romance author with a shelf full of unsubmitted manuscripts and a pocket full of secrets he’s finally ready to share.

“I know,” Steve calls back. All around them, the salty sea air rushes off the ocean, tangling itself with gold and crimson leaves in the surrounding tree line. “That’s why I wrote it.”

Tony has always found Steve Rogers' work fascinating and inspiring, he loves the imagination and wonder of it all.
It'd be a lie to say a few of his latest works had been inspired by Rogers' work, but he never through he'd be noticed by the man, nor would Rogers be so keen to meet him.

    Summary

The thing about Steve Rogers’ books was that no one really knew how they got so popular all of a sudden. They just did. One day you had no idea the man existed, then you blinked and boom — you saw his name plastered for the second month in a row on The New York Times Best Seller List. To say his books were good would be the understatement of the century. That man was the Mozart of creative writing.

or: Steve is Bucky's favourite writer.

When Steve rescues Bucky from a car wreck in the middle of a snow storm, he isn't looking for a reward, but he certainly isn't expecting to be berated about his lack of wifi and his “unjustifiable” use of emergency scissors either. He also isn't expecting to find his infuriating new housemate so goddamn attractive.

Saving Bucky Barnes’ life was easy. Living with him? Not so much.
