His Sanshu, who seemed to come and go from the family compound like the ocean tide, had dropped off a map to Wu Xie three days prior. It wasn’t a tomb, but a door. A bronze door built deep into a cave, seemingly pointless, with no other structures near it. His Sanshu had simply told him the area was safe, there were no further artifacts in the area, and the door was old.
Very old.
Wu Xie, being the total opposite of his Sanshu, knew this could be the historical find of the century. After some debate, he had refused to allow anyone else to study it; it had to be him.
How could he have known what he would find...

Directions for him to stay away had been issued by his second uncle, his lover, his ex-boyfriend the Guardian of humanity's immortal souls, and a fellow former employee of Warehouse 11. Pangzi acknowledged this would cause trouble, and Pangzi's word was gold, as the expert on all Trouble starting with Tianzhen. Wu Xie was less invited than resentful fairies at a princess's birthday party.
But what is being uninvited but a chance to be a surprise?
Pangzi hissed to Wu Xie out of the side of his mouth, "I thought Jia Sidao put Consort Li's head in a gold box."
"Grandfather said he found it, and it was a lacquer box. You know how stories change. Anyway, it was cursed, so the family couldn't hold on to it, and I don't think Zhang Da Fo-ye had even thought of the warehouse yet, so Grandfather made a deal with some shady-sounding exorcist from the…" Wu Xie looked up slowly as Zhao Yunlan cleared his throat and smiled. "…Ershu called you the Lord Guardian? The same as this Guardian Order my grandfather was working with?"
"That's what I always liked about you. Cute and smart."

What was meant as a simple deliver and retrieve job for Pan Zi quickly escalates and suddenly he finds himself with kids in urgent need of an adult that cares. There will be no baby like A-Cu pestering him to sing. There won’t be any more late nights tackling Liu Sang’s occasional fevers and migraines. There will be no kids attacking him in the middle of the night, asking him to shift a little so they can all sleep in the same bed. No one will call him Pa and bring him out of his black and white world.
He felt Liu Sang holding his hand tightly and looked at him. A-Cu was already holding his bicep tightly, his head on Xie Yuchen’s shoulder as tears silently made way to his pink shirt. They all knew the inevitable but none of them spoke about it out loud. When they reached the Wu residence, none of them moved.
“ Come on, let’s not keep your parents waiting. They have done that enough for a lifetime.”, Xie Yuchen smiled at them and got out of the car.

A Bronze Gate where the secret of the world is hidden and protected, something inside of the Gate is calling them, calling them to protect the Gate from those people.
Wu Xie knows he has bad luck but this is a whole new level, Who is the right mind to travel them back in time thanks to the entity that they can not see and using the Old Mystic Nine members as vessels to send them back?! But, it was what happened and Wu Xie can not do anything except to redo again with the memory of the future but this time he is not alone.
