Summary
Taskmaster is many things, mercenary, mimic, and master of a thousand fighting styles. So safe to say he's been through his fair share of strange jobs before.
But waking up in a world full of soul powered teenagers, magic monsters, and fairy tale themed warriors is a new one. All he has is a letter from a man named Ozpin and a vague mission: survive, adapt, and complete the task.
So he does what he does best. He moves forward.
Along the way, he attracts a group of misfits. As the war for Remnant escalates, he finds himself helping to rebuild Beacon, training students, and being dragged deeper into a conflict that could end the world.
The enemies are monsters, the allies unstable, and the mission never clear. But one thing stays the same. Taskmaster doesn’t quit.
He’s not the hero they expected. But he’s the weapon they need.

We're all aware of the story of Ruby Rose within Remnant-71813 thus far, as she and her team and friends play their part in the ongoing war between Ozma and Huntsmen and Salem and the Grimm. But then we see certain events of Remnant-199999 and it's unexpected mergings with Remnants-96283 and 120703(the events of Scarlet Spider: No Way Home: https://archiveofourown.info/works/39202788/chapters/98084742). All three being versions of Remnant being very similar to certain versions of Earth such as Earth-199999, 616, or 1610. Summary
In their first year at Beacon Academy, Team JNPR's first mission was supposed to be like any other, but it ended with a Grimm attack that destroyed the entire village they were meant to be protecting. Jaune was forced to give his life to ensure his partner could escape alive.

For a new couple having their own room and privacy should have been a blessing. In some ways it was, they spared Ruby and Weiss from rolling their eyes or teasing them whenever they would get lost on each other and tune everyone else out. But for Yang it filled her with anxiety.
