For the overly emotional and sensitive Zenitsu who absolutely sucks at making friends, going into high-school is possibly one of the scariest things to happen to him. Fortunately, his friends (aka, the kamaboko squad) came to him, instead of him to them, and he has them and his family every step of the way into this unfamiliar territory.
And, for someone as obsessed with love as Zenitsu is, he really is a fool for not being able to see that his two closest friends like him.

To describe the relationship Zenitsu had with his senior, he only had to use one word; dead. They were two different people somehow destined to despise each other. With no way to reunite or bond with one another. For his fellow Thunder breathing user refused to form any meaningful connection between them.
So when his 'brother's' personality had suddenly turned on itself. Zenitsu thinks that his senior had been replaced by a demon. No, he's sure of it.

Zenitsu Agatsuma is trapped in a never-ending cycle of pain and maltreatment.
Repetitively, he starts from the very beginning, tracing the familiar patterns of his life before it all falls apart. The inevitable — he knows what’s coming but is powerless to do anything about it. Watching loved ones suffer tragic fates is something he cannot change, a burden too great to bear.
The worst part is that he can’t remember that it is a cycle of hell until it is too late.
OR Zenitsu is in a never-ending time loop in the zombie apocalypse, and the cycle is starting to change.
