July Drabbles. I'll be writing and posting something every day, around 500-1000 words. The texts will be based on prompts—fandoms and characters will be random, but will likely include fandoms I've already written for. Initially, the prompts are from a prompt bingo, but this won't be an actual bingo event. You can also suggest prompt words in the comments!

Summary
Mythology has to come from somewhere, right? Maybe it’s cultural ideals, or messages, or interpretations of the world to make it make sense. But, what if there was far more truth to these myths than we thought?
The Dread Powers, now known as Smirke’s 14 and Adelard‘s Addendum, have existed since the dawn of fear. Ever since the first thing felt afraid. So, what would happen if our forgotten histories were influenced by these Dread Powers?
This is the first of these tales, the story of the beginning, of the birth of the gods, the true tales of what we now know as the mythology of Ancient Greece.

Summary
Percy Jackson thought he was just another troubled kid, but it turns out he's a demigod, the son of Poseidon, the god of the sea! Alongside his older twin brother, who is deaf, Percy is whisked away to Camp Half-Blood, a training ground for demigods. There, they discover that the entire world of Greek mythology is real—and it’s coming after them both. As if puberty, ADHD, and learning to communicate with his brother through sign language weren't enough, the gods of Mount Olympus accuse Percy and his brother of stealing Zeus's lightning bolt, an act that could ignite an all-out war among the gods. With the fate of the world teetering on the edge, Percy embarks on an epic quest to clear their names, his brother by his side, encountering mythological monsters, Orion swordsmen, and Olympian conspiracies on their journey from New York to the Underworld.

Okay so I've been thinking a lot about the Greek Gods and there dynamics lately. I know the myth says Athena sprung from Zeus's head as a young adult but what if that wasn't the case. What if she spent the first few years with her mother in Zeus's head before being ousted from that home and into the world.

Summary
In this world, the gods no longer walk the earth, rather; they carry out their will through Instruments. Chosen mortals bound to a deity, Instruments act as avatars of divine intent: guardians, champions, and sometimes weapons. Each one is gifted with fragments of their god’s power and burdened with the weight of their patron’s expectations.
Wally West never wanted to be chosen by a god. He wanted freedom, not prophecy. But when Hermes claims him, ripping him from his semi-normal life, he’s thrown into a journey that’s anything but his own.At Athena’s command, Dick Grayson walks the line between mortal and divine, an Instrument carved by fate and burdened by wisdom he never asked for. When their paths cross, it is anything but smooth, established duty meets reckless chaos.
But when the fate of Olympus and the world is at stake, the two must work together, and actually trust one another. Because some burdens were never meant to be carried alone. -

Summary
An Epic Poem, written entirely in the iambic pentameter, telling the story of the events that precipitated the Trojan War. From Paris' birth to the landing of the Greek ships at Troy.
This story, in terms of style, is heavily rooted in Homeric epics, whilst using tropes of modern familiar genres such as the Gothic. It tells an ancient pre-war story which appeals to the modern audience, over whom global war seems to be looming once again.
In its entirety, this poem will be 12 Books long, each book lasting around 30 rhapsodies. Rhapsodies are fairly short, and will be taking the form of 'chapters'. And so, although it will only be ~7,000 lines when finished (in a very, very long time from now), don't be put off if the chapter count sits within the hundreds. -

Summary
“So you are ready to fight properly,” he said, stepping forward again, facing Odysseus where he had fled a few paces backward. “What stopped you before?”
There was a goading to his voice, barely sheathed; Odysseus thought Zeus was not so patient as he had been mere moments ago, an edge to his words that could have caused birds to plummet from the sky. But there, in the spaces between words, shining in the darks of his eyes, Odysseus saw something else. The place where he had opened Zeus’ skin was already sealed over, given away only by the line of shining ichor left behind. A mortal had landed a hit on him, spilling his precious blood, and their very beings had clashed with how wrong the action had been, a testament to their unlikeness.
And yet, Zeus’ knees were not bent to charge, his shoulders were not tense, and he held himself bare as though being struck was not a concern of his. Or, as though he was inviting it. As if he was daring Odysseus to do it again.
Odysseus thrust his sword toward the floor once, flicking the gold off of it, and braced himself for what was to come.
“Certainty.”
/////
Odysseus comes to retrieve his belongings from the temple. Instead, he gets a revelation.
