Summary
It was quiet, lonely and boring there. Aang couldn’t tell where he was or for how long he’s been there. He could hear whispers every now and then—voices of people he could vaguely remember though the faces never quite sprang to his mind. Male voices, female voices—all of them whispering in his head, telling him to hang on tight, just wait, he would get out of there eventually.
An eternity later he finally heard something different—the sound of a baby wailing, voice strong yet fresh, raw in a way only newly born babies could achieve. The flicker of an image crossed his mind—of a baby girl with barely any hair on her head. Her eyes were screwed shut as she cried, bundled up in warm, blue furs. A tired and happy woman’s voice exhaled the name Katara reverently.

Zuko knows this is as much an attempt to keep him in line as it is a means of securing an alliance. If “alliance” is really the word that can be used; his betrothed’s presence in the Fire Nation is meant to keep the Water Tribes in line.

Summary
Subjectively, he is beautiful and intriguing. With smoldering eyes that pierce everything and everyone he looks at, a practiced posture that looks natural and effortless—lending to his grace whether he’s soundlessly sneaking through Earth Kingdom alleyways or breaking into high-security prisons undetected, and shrouded in mystery, no one has seen him under the mask or heard his voice other than grunts and huffs. He is an enigma, one she wants to solve and understand.
Objectively, he is breaking the law, and—while at times she is not above doing the same—she has been hired by Earth Kingdom law enforcers to catch the elusive vigilante. So here she was, giving chase to the most wanted vigilante in the country.

The Painted Lady is commissioned by the Earth Kingdom to catch the Blue Spirit and bring him to justice for his crimes in Ba Sing Se.
And Katara was going to do that, but the more time she spends chasing him, the more she realizes Ba Sing Se is not all it was made out to be.

Summary
After 5 years of leading the 41st division on the front lines, Zuko’s father has found a new use for him: as a bargaining chip in negotiations with the Southern Water Tribe. Zuko has no idea what to expect from this arrangement, but if the treaty can stop even one Fire Nation citizen from being killed, he’s willing to play his part.
Hakoda never wanted to bring an ashmaker into his home, but he knows his duty is to his tribe, even before his children or husband. He only hopes the prince will share his sense of duty and be willing to make the arrangement work. He never could have planned for Zuko.
Bato had his doubts, and Hakoda asking him at the last minute to change the wedding into a clan adoption didn’t put his mind at ease. But Zuko and his friends aren't the invaders Bato privately feared. As they settle in and learn the ways of the Southern Water Tribe, both he and Hakoda come to respect Zuko for his kindness, honesty, and bravery. Which is all well and good, until Zuko admits to having feelings for both of them, and they have to decide if they want to pursue a real relationship with Hakoda's young, fake husband.
Also, Zuko's lightningbending may have inadvertently returned the Avatar to the world, too. -

Summary
Zuko has been having this particular dream for a few months now, since his sixteenth birthday. He wakes up sitting in seiza, dark hair spilling free from his phoenix tail and falling haphazardly over his face, the swirling fog leaving freezing cold caresses around his knees and wrists.
He can’t stand to keep his eyes open for long, not when he’s become so accustomed to seeing nothing at all. The colors give him a headache.
At least it isn’t red, he thinks with a traitorous grimace.
--
Zuko was blinded in the Agni Kai against his father. He also just so happens to be the Avatar. Funny how these things work out.
