Summary
After a while, Art stepped into the living room. His boxers sat low on his hips, almost too low. The line of his happy trail was fully visible, along with the top of his pubes and what looked like a half-boner pressing against the fabric. He leaned against the doorframe to his room and looked at Patrick.
“All clean,” he said, voice light.
Patrick stood up fast and crossed the room. He pressed a hand to Art’s stomach.
“Any cramping?” he asked.
“Just a little,” Art said, smiling. “But we made it through. Douching is so fucking weird.”

Summary
Art stared at the hand. Patrick was close enough to trap him against the counter. His warmth added to the air already thick with artificial scent.
“You do smell strong,” Art admitted.
Patrick smirked. “Strong bad or strong good?”
Art shrugged, quiet. “Not bad.”
Patrick laughed. “Jesus. Are you flirting with me right now?”
“No,” Art said, maybe too fast.
Patrick wiggled his pinky. Art locked his own around it. Their eyes met and held. Too long.
Patrick didn’t blink. “You wanna join me?”
Art’s brain short-circuited. “What?”
“In the shower.”

Summary
Art looks down at him over his nose, frowning. “I’m not a prude," he defends, an offended lilt in his words. "I’m just normal, and not, like an exhibitionist, like you apparently are.” Patrick raises a brow like he doesn’t believe a word he’s saying. Just to make him mad. It works. “I’m serious, Patrick,” he repeats, sitting up a bit straighter. “I could have sex in front of you, or if you were listening like you apparently love to do now. It would be the exact same as normal. I probably wouldn’t even remember that you were there”
Patrick studies him, leaned back against the couch lazily. “Yeah?"
"Yeah." The word is spat out.
“Okay.” He tilts his head, challenging. “Okay. Prove it.”

Summary
There was a time when all of their lives hadn't been so horribly interconnected. There was a time when it all was really just about tennis. There was a time when it was simple.
But maybe that wasn't true. Maybe it had always been that difficult and complicated. Almost 20 years' worth of coming in and out of each other's lives when they knew they shouldn't have is cause for the worst mistakes of their lives (or maybe the best ones). Lena, Tashi, Art, and Patrick were the only ones who could say for sure.

Summary
Art hit the ball across the court for Patrick to serve. They had been going on about this topic for a while, Art continuing to insist that the Tashi Duncan, the gorgeous, rich, and insanely talented tennis player, is a vampire.

Summary
One of Art’s most irritating traits is the fact he’s too proud to admit how he really feels about things. Or – not proud, not really, but too emotionally constipated and weird and guilt-ridden to ever announce something as simple as whether he likes something.
And in some ways, it’s fine for the big things. He and Patrick don’t do big emotional conversations; they don’t discuss the meaningful stuff because they can’t, they’re teenage boys and they’re idiots.
So it sort of doesn’t matter for… ironically, the stuff that matters.
One day it’ll be a problem. Probably.
Because Art’s big thing is he’ll say whatever people want him to, just to seem cool, just to be liked, or whatever the true rationale is behind his insanity. He’ll insist he likes a food he’s hated his entire life, just because a girl likes it. He listens to a band now just because one of the cool older guys asked him if he’d ever heard of them and Art had lied and said yes.

Summary
“You’re already shaking,” Art whispered into his mouth. “You gonna fall apart on me?”
Patrick didn’t answer. He just kissed back harder, tongue eager, breath caught in his chest.
Art let the tie slide a little tighter through his grip. “You like when I take my time with you?”
Patrick nodded, desperate.
“Yeah, I know you do.”
He ground up again, slowly. Their bodies moved together with rhythm. “Look at you,” Art murmured, voice low against his lips. “My pretty little mess.”
Patrick whimpered into the kiss, and Art swallowed the sound whole. Patrick pulled back slightly, just enough to breathe. His grin had changed into something a little sharper. “You think you’ve got control right now?”
Art smirked, steady. “Feels like it.”

Summary
Life’s kind of always sucked for Patrick Zweig.
He tells himself otherwise.
He convinces himself that he’s fine, that he’s still young enough, strong enough, with time to ‘turn it all around.’
He keeps a script on repeat in his head like a prayer: I’ll get back to tennis, I’ll get serious again, I’ll fix it.
But it’s been years now, and if he was really going to fix it, wouldn’t he have already?
He’s a popular guy.
Well…
He’s always been liked.

Summary
Um so, hey guys. I don't expect anyone to really give a fuck about my work anymore. To be really honest, I am doing very very badly, so I am barely holding on mentally. I haven't posted in a while...and I'm really sorry if this one-shot sucks.
It's just like a brief snapshot of Art's thoughts, like a journal entry is one way you can think about it.

Summary
Patrick Zweig didn’t believe in soulmates. He didn’t believe that there were people out there who would make him whole, just because they were destined to do so. He didn’t believe in fate or divine intervention. Patrick loved intentionally, wholly, recklessly. He crawled to hell and back to love, to make himself whole. Now, lying underneath Art’s warm body, Patrick knew that it wasn’t fate that brought him here. He’d willed this. He’d bled for this, tore himself apart to pieces for the chance of being able to kiss the man before him, to savor the bitter sweetness in his lips, to bury himself beneath Art’s skin.

Summary
That kind of male attention makes Art go silly. At this point Art doesn’t even need a drink. He’s half lost, giggling at things that aren’t even funny just because some cute boy is touching his knee, pinching his cheek, calling him pretty. Patrick’s hard immediately.
Or
Art Donaldson gets gang banged.

Summary
Art needs to pee.
He’s not actually said anything, but Patrick’s known him forever, and he can read him like a book.
Every tic, every fidget, every little twitch, Patrick knows him. He knows what Art wants, what he needs. They understand each other in a way that no one else does, and right now? Art needs to pee.
But the thing about Art is he’s an obstinate fucker, and his inexplicable anxiety about the most mundane things extends far beyond the confines of their private lives.
And it’s more than that.
Somehow.
Art doesn’t know how to ask for what he wants, or more importantly, what he needs.
He’ll be the last to admit when he’s hungry, or tired, or bored, always powering through instead of just saying anything. It’s a habit Patrick’s been working to break, and he has gotten through a little, but only in the sense that Art will tell him when he needs something.
