Summary
At age fourteen, Kurusu Akira kills the only cognitive psientist to object to Shido’s methods under the latter’s orders. His hand doesn’t tremble as he pulls the trigger, but his heart breaks. Still, it’s worth it. It’s the first step towards freedom, and more importantly, his revenge.
Two years later, cursed child Akechi Goro is caught shoplifting, and after a brief chase gets slammed into the pavement by three police officers double his size. The only reason he can't slip out of their grasp is because he hasn't eaten in three days. It earns him a one-way ticket to Tokyo.

as it keeps forming, that idea is disproven. sharp eyes and a head of unruly hair give away its real identity. it was akira.
but… different.
white hair instead of black, and matching streaks and symbols along his face. interesting. and the expression… something he hadn't seen on himself in a while. eyes glowing yellow, they looked like something confident, the smirk further adding to that.it wasn't just him. it was a better version. a person who was unplagued by their past... and everything akira could've hoped for.
the naming screen reappears, his AS waiting patiently on the side, a puppet waiting for its strings to finally move once more. names… names. putting his real one didn't feel right. too personal, too himself.

He turns back, looking at the TV that’s still on. He doesn’t see the hacked screen anymore but he can see Akechi shaking, like his blood ran cold. What? What happened? He can almost hear Akechi’s betrayed and sad voice.
