Tsukishima Kei is a third-year Social Work major in Miyagi. While researching what to do for his thesis, he stumbles across the case of Kageyama Tobio. A boy his age, in prison for the physical assault of one of his teammates after the finals of his middle school volleyball tournament. He's been in prison for 6 years. While reviewing the case, Kei finds many discrepancies and believes that the boy was judged too hard. He decided then he'll research and so a case study on Kageyama Tobio. That is if the boy would talk to him.
