With the numerous evacuation buses entering New York City, Moon Knight decides to check in on the neighboring city of Gotham, New Jersey. The least Jake, Marc, and Steven can do is scout the area and help evacuate unfortunate passerby’s. However, the extremity of the situation poses a threat not only to Gotham, but surrounding cities as well. This “Fear Toxin” doesn’t sit well with Moon Knight. Eavesdropping seems like an adequate way to get information. Until you’re face to face with Gotham City’s protector.

Steven feels himself flush at the words. This is so touching; It must’ve been for someone else and was just delivered here by accident. He’s certainly never received something like this before.
He flips the card and blinks when he sees his address and name printed there… but with no return address or name- no indication of who could have possibly sent it to him. He glances down the hall to his left and then to his right; not a soul in sight. Maybe it was Mum? No, she usually only sent postcards. A cake, once or twice on his birthdays but not flowers- and she always made sure to sign her name on the post.

Steven took a deep breath, counting to 10, just like he learned in school. Okay, think. He told himself. Organize. You’re good at that. So, his body hurt for no reason and there was a weird voice. A weird voice that was talking to him. That he was responding and conversing with.
“Oh blimey, I’m going crazy,” he murmured softly. He shot up, scrambling to his feet. “I have to tell Mum,”
‘No, no, no! I’m sorry!’ The voice cried out, suddenly sounding panicked. ‘Please don’t tell Mami,’
Steven blinked. “But Mum is the best,” he argued back. “She always knows what to do,”
The voice seemed to waver, pausing before coming again once more, but this time more quietly. ‘Please don’t go to her,’ it whispered, sounding small. ‘Please…’
Steven paused, his heart feeling tight in his chest. The voice sounded… scared. His eyes flickered across the room, before landing on the mirror. He froze.
His reflection wasn’t quite right.
