Summary
Words couldn’t quite describe the feelings that had taken root in Buck these past few weeks. Like a tree, a small seed was planted and it just continued to grow, spreading its limbs to every part of Buck’s soul.
Hurt. Anger. Helplessness.
Buck just felt so…stuck. Trapped in a place he never wanted to be, but can’t find the strength to leave, because there is comfort here. Who knows what he will find on the other side. It could be worse than where he already is.
Buck had his routine. Wake up, go to work, come home, wallow in self pity, repeat. He can admit it wasn’t the greatest or healthiest routine, but it was better than nothing.
Or: Buck has been having feelings lately as he refuses to let go of the thing causing him pain. He is desperate to ignore them. Eddie is trying to help him work through them.
2x04 'Stuck' canon compliant re-write.

Summary
"A now-familiar rage boils up in Eddie's chest, and he shakes out his limbs, baring his teeth in relief when they call his name again.
He'd been slated for three fights tonight, and this is his last one. Sweat is rolling down his back, and his body is probably going to ache in the morning, but he can't feel any of it yet because of the adrenaline.
Not only as he already fought twice tonight, he'd also won both matches, and he doesn't feel like stopping. His limbs are still loose, there's energy still sparking through his veins, and the fury that he's been trying to expel all night is still firmly settled behind his breastbone, tendrils winding up his throat as if to choke him.
He almost feels bad for whoever he's about to climb into the ring with."
Or, one night sets Eddie on a whole new path.

Summary
Neither one of them had the words to touch on the other's grief. Eddie had lost a man who saved his life multiple times, who he went to for advice, and who always knew what would help him. Buck lost something a little bit more. Maybe not more but different. Bobby was his captain, the same as Eddie but he was more than just a mentor. With Bobby, Buck experienced what it was like to be loved by a father for the first time in his life. And now Bobby's gone. Both of them are grieving.
Or Eddie comes home for the funeral, Buck finally crashes out, then things get better.
"Last Alarm" Never heard of her.

Summary
"Eddie didn’t think much of it at first. It was just a headache after all. Okay, maybe a headache and a bit of a chill. But, it was nothing that a couple glasses of water and a nap couldn't fix. He’s been a dad for 15 years at this point and a little bit of a headache, some chills, and maybe the addition of a scratch at the back of his throat isn’t going to take him out..."
Or, when Eddie is sick it's only Buck that can really take care of him.

Summary
By the look in your eye
I can tell that you're no longer sleeping
But we're still dreaming
Don't put it all on me
By the end of the day
It's clear that we're both never leaving
But if we're still breathing
Don't put it all on meor
Eddie moves back from Texas and in with Buck. Maddie convinces him to pick up some shifts in dispatch to get some space and perspective on the changes in his life. A gay awakening ensues, just in time for a disaster that could risk everything. Angst. Angst angst angst. I promise you a happy ending and some fun chat scenes along the way, but it comes at a price and the price is trauma.
This fic starts up shortly after where Season 8 ended, timeline wise. Assume canon compliance through that point, though some things will be glossed over (looking at you, Thomas Kinard). Title is from the song by Noah Cyrus and The Fleet Foxes.

Summary
Evan 'Buck' Buckley doesn't think of himself as a violent person.
He forgets to remind himself of this fact as he draws his fist back and then hooks it around to strike his opponent.
The returning blows come as a flurry of movement. First comes the impact, then a tingling sensation, and finally a throbbing pain radiating from Buck's jaw up to his temple and through his entire skull. He stumbles back; vision hazy, the faint metallic taste of blood in his mouth. Another hit lands before he has a chance to re-orientate himself, sending him falling backwards- hard.
Or
Eddie has left for El Paso, so Buck needs a new hobby to keep distracted.
Baking won't cut it. So, the obvious solution is beginner MMA.
To make things interesting, Buck's trainer shares a striking resemblance to his best friend.Buck promises his loved ones that he won't go getting in to trouble, but he shouldn't make promises he can't keep...

Almost a week after leaving L.A., Evan "Buck" Buckley is back with a plan and a newfound determination to get back the job and the family he lost. This time, he's the one in control and he's adamant that no one will take that away from him.
He decides to keep his return to L.A. a secret until he's ready to face them one by one. With some interesting but much-needed conversations on the horizon, Buck readies himself for the fight ahead of him.
OR, Buck returns to L.A. to try to fight for his job.
This is a sequel to my other Fic 'Can't Keep Chasing This Fire (I'm so Damn Tired)' and would make more sense once that one has been read.

Summary
"It’s Dr. Wells.
The Dr. Wells Bobby had sent Buck to, over a year and a half ago.
The same one he couldn’t quite admit had taken advantage of him, had made him feel numb whenever he tried sharing his feelings, who made it impossible to open up to any other therapist—
She was there and she had a baby. A baby who couldn’t be more than ten months old. A baby with his blonde hair and bright blue eyes, not her dark hair and dark eyes."
or
Dr. Wells had a baby & never told Buck.

Summary
"“Wow. Hurtful.” Buck pretended to pout, scrolling on. “Okay, but seriously–listen to this one. ‘Romantic couples’ fencing class.’ Because nothing says true love like stabbing each other with tiny swords.”
Eddie glanced up long enough to raise an eyebrow. “Matching outfits. Big draw.”"

Summary
El sexo era bueno. Realmente bueno.

Summary
"It's like, I don't wanna die, you know?"
Buck takes a long drag of a lukewarm beer, setting the empty bottle down on the thick, sticky bartop. "But sometimes I think it might be easier."
The bartender, a tall, leggy blonde that reminds Buck, fleetingly, of Lucy, flicks her eyes up to look at him from where she's doing dishes behind the counter. Her eyes flick back down to the glasses in the sink before she responds.
"Easier than what?"

"Eddie stepped forward, suddenly fidgeting with the edge of his shirt. “No. I mean—look, it’s not just… I like it. Your hair. The curls. They’re—you.”
Buck raised an eyebrow with barely concealed amusement. “I didn’t realize you were so emotionally invested in my hairstyle, Eds.”
Or, Eddie has a lot of thoughts about Buck's curls.

Summary
It's a normal day at the firehouse.
Their calls are all pretty normal, nothing too major and no loss of life. Buck is in denial about his feelings, but that's not the point because today has been a good day.
That is until they have a work call where Eddie holds a baby. Buck's life spirals pretty quickly after that.

"Buck looked up at him then, eyes shining. “Of course I want it. Eddie, I've wanted that for years. Since the will at least. I just didn't– it's not my place”
“It’s your place.”
They stared at each other for a beat too long, and Buck broke the silence, voice hoarse. “Do you want this?”
Or, Chris asks for a Christmas present that changes Buck and Eddie’s lives forever.Series

Summary
“Do you regret it?”
Lena shakes her head, more hair coming lose from her bun. “I know the wise thing would be to say I do. I’m reformed, I’ve seen the error of my ways. But I don’t. Fighting got me through tough times, fighting was there for me when I wasn’t ready to heal, when I needed an outlet for all the pain and the rage but couldn’t handle facing it. I’m where I am now because of it.”
Buck nods along but he can’t say he’s listening. Not anymore, the words “outlet” and “rage” dancing a vicious tango at the forefront of his consciousness. But he knows enough to nod along and Lena must read something on his face, must notice that he’s gone again, because she swiftly makes her way to the parking lot, goodbyes said but no words registering in Buck’s brain. He’s still nodding, but more so to himself this time.

OR: Buck does not know how to deal with Bobby's death and all the feelings from it. A surprise guest at the funeral gives him a solution but it's not something Buck's allowed to pursue, not if Eddie Diaz has anything to say about it.

Summary
Buck didn’t like drinking. He did at one point. Not for the alcohol itself but more for the social aspect of it. He would drink with friends or to make friends or to find someone to share a bed with for the night. Then he drank with his team, celebrating milestones or just going out for fun. He drank with Eddie sitting on his couch, clinking their beer glasses together before they could begin their conversations. He used to keep a six pack in his fridge at all times just waiting to be cracked open. That was before though.
One day they were out and Tommy started getting irritable. He kept checking his phone and pacing and when he saw one of his usual drinking friends he basically ditched Buck to go hang around him despite the fact that the two of them had plans later that day which had been made months in advance. He started basically screaming about how his friend who he leant his flask to stole it from him and acting quite erratically. For the first time ever Buck was scared of Tommy.
Or,
Tommy is an alcoholic and how that effects Buck and Eddie being a good supportive friend -
