Summary
The news of the nearby town’s war hit Las Nevadas in the middle of a calm working morning. It felt weird, in Fundy’s opinion, to be the outsider on a war and not stuck in the middle. It was easy to forget wars weren’t just a Thessempi-thing. But for the first time, Fundy gets to see the effects of war from a different perspective.
Las Nevadas quickly got sucked into preparations for refugees, political relationships (without any manipulation for the first time in their lives), old romantic tensions, and to top it all off, the war that Fundy wasn’t even involved with made him rethink everything he knew about himself.
For the first time, Fundy has the option of making choices and have his decisions respected. Shame that he doesn’t know what the right choice is.
WARNING: This is the fifth work of 'A Series Interlude', the series that sequels 'If Not Us, Then Who?'. This might make NO sense without reading those first :D

Wilbur.
Not a name Ranboo get’s to hear a lot. He sounds like...a guy. That’s for sure. It’s hard to say. Depends on who you ask. Phil acts like he was some misguided saint, he’s sad that he’s dead. Tubbo more or less says good riddance. Tommy...Tommy doesn’t talk about Wilbur. Techno has said two things about him and they were contradictory. No one else has ever talked to Ranboo about Wilbur, not really. Either they didn’t know the guy or knew the guy too well.
“Wilbur and Quackity...what were they?”
“What do you mean?”
“They didn’t like each other?”
“Gods no. Um...Big Q wanted to be a part of L’Manberg’s politics, I believe...Wilbur said no. So Q demanded there be an election.” Tubbo closed his eyes, taking a sigh. “Wilbur and Tommy lost the election. Schlatt and Q won. I um...I forget.” That was a bold-faced lie.

The man in question scoffs, idly twirling his axe around with one hand, acting far too casually for the awful sight behind him.
“Ah, Minutes Man,” he sighs, his amused expression gaining a sharper edge, “I could ask you the same thing. It seems you and the former president have been busy.”

Summary
The city of the false desert projects a cold, artificial light from the towering view of the outpost. The “cookie” operation buzzes with a continuous groan in response.
When suggested to forget, Ranboo sits in the stone facility awake and thinking.
Yet despite the precautions made to combat a possible night invasion against Las Nevadas, Tubbo who was scarred with proof of the world’s harshness and in his final life was heavily asleep. Ranboo wasn’t even formally assigned for a night duty.
