Summary
Devil has long since escaped his past, or at least he thought he had. But now a threat overcomes his old home in Infernal Realm, and he must decide on whether to take back his birthright.
Dice didn't exactly have an easy time living in Dreamstill Realm, and being Devil's right hand man may be hard work, but it's much better than fighting his monstrous past.
Elder Kettle wants nothing more than to protect his grandsons, but that's pretty difficult when the cup twins keep ending up in difficult situations. Now they seemed to have gotten into a predicament that's harder than they can chew.
The three must now band together, taking risks and turns that may either change things for better or worse. -

King Dice was a different man before the casino, he was much more gullible to start. He didn't mean any harm when he left behind a childhood friend to peruse his dream of fame. But after the curtain fell on his final show, his days to keep his soul were numbered. Once he found someone from before his fame, his fate would be sealed forever.
And he would put loved ones in situations worse than death.
(Made as a backstory of how King Dice and Chips were reunited and how they began work at the casino for my AU, Deck of Traitors.)

What happens when you sell your soul? That’s a question I’ve asked my elderly caretaker many times. He would tell me not to worry about it, yet only answered it the day Cuphead went missing; however, he never gave me the full details on it. He told me that when someone sells their soul, they’re a lost cause. They were barely seen, and they became a permanent slave for the Devil. I asked him if he thought that’s what happened to Cup, and he would respond with a hopeful message saying that Cup could’ve just gotten himself lost.
Elder Kettle, I wish you could read this, however no matter how hard I try you’ll never be able to even catch a glimpse. Even hoping for you to get this would be silly, as we have no way in contact. It's all his fault, and I’m sorry for it. You were the best caretaker one could ever have, and I love you so much. I should’ve never brought myself into Cuphead’s horrible ways. Now I have to sit in here and suffer. I am so, so sorry.
Yet I shouldn’t be apologizing for it, because it’s all of his fault.
