Stores are but one truth, spoken by many, reiterated until they are memory.” She says as she looks up at him, long enough to shoot him a look that says she will not listen to this talk any longer, then her white eyes return to the crown being made by her hands. “I will see for myself about the Oneiromancer.”
“And it will end in tragedy.” Helios sneers, but he can see that his sister will not listen to him. She is as she always was— stubborn and young. The flame-haired God sighs, crossing his arms and looking out at the rest of Olympus beneath them. “Your fate is your own, sister. I...wish you luck and happiness, however unlikely.”

Perhaps the death of his oldest friend finally drove him crazy. Had driven him to the brink of insanity. Because his Stranger – Dream of the Endless, Lord Morpheus, King of Dreams and Nightmares – was standing in front of him, at the edge of the bar.

Blue eyes, crystal clear, hold Hob's in wrought attention. He's blanketed in a warm jumper- black, of course, considering it belongs to his significant other. Dream doesn't necessarily have a smell, but he swears there is the faintest whiff of ozone, and the scent of a forest, soaked after a rainstorm. Speaking of the storm, the one raging outside is the exact reason they sit on Hob's worn sofa, curled together, Dream's presence a safe fortress where the pain still filters through.
Hob has a chronic pain flare up, Dream/ Meowpheus provides comfort. For Day 4 of belated Sadman week! (Prompt; Ice-Cream, Eye Contact, Blood)

When they end up in the very plot they were trying to relearn, they immediately remember the end of the series and learns very quickly that they need to prevent dumb decisions to create a future lack of them. Finding themself in close proximity to the one who gives them the inspiration they've been trying to grasp since they were a child so they can't help but want to know everything that isn't told between the lines of the pages.
But now they needs to figure out how the hell to get out of the Burgess mansion.

Dream wants… so much. Too much. He wants to come up behind Hob and wrap his arms around his waist and hold him close. He wants to tell him how much he misses him and beg him to leave with him, leave the estate, leave his marriage, leave the country, leave the hemisphere.
Dream wants to grab Hob’s hair in his fist and pull his head back until he drops to his knees, then put a very specific ball gag in his mouth and remind him that the Prince of Stories never did release him from his service as Knight.
