Summary
Mike Schmidt is convinced he doesn’t have a soulmate. Not getting a soulmate mark on his 16th birthday like most people do, it’s not like there’s much else he can assume.
Generally speaking, he’s been perfectly fine with this. He’s never been that interested in romance anyways. The pity he gets from others can be quite annoying though, so all things considered, he’s still a bit salty.
Deciding to go to a local diner before work to grab some coffee to help him stay up for his night shift leads him to meeting someone who he finds quite annoying, and the cherry on top of his irritation, they have one of the most obvious and cheesy soulmate marks he’s ever seen in his life:
A big, bright pink heart on their cheek
He can’t imagine living with that on his face 24/7, and god is he glad he doesn’t have to
