Summary
Jedi Knight Aesaedii "Saedii" Synn is a prisoner. Captured by Darth Vader and the Empire, she's given a choice: serve as an Inquisitor or Omega will suffer the consequences. Any misstep, any failure and Omega's death will be on her head.
But serving as an Inquisitor is nearly as dangerous as being hunted by them. Internal rivalries make every brother and sister an enemy. Pong Krell will go to any length to see her fail. And Kalth -- once her friend, now her captor -- seems to have an agenda of his own.
Without the Bad Batch and the Clones, survival boils down to a choice: darkness or light. And in order to save her friend, Saedii may have to become what she hates the most.

He sees him stand at the top of the driveway.
He calls his name.

And like a kid relieved to find his parent after being lost for such a long time he runs towards it. Desperate like a little kid he stumbles upon the familiar body at his feet, one that dons a black shirt similar to one he has seen before (bandaged hands, bitten fingers, wh-).
He runs as he feels himself drown in his own tears. On the snot that runs down his nose, barely able to see between blurry tears. As if he didn't arrive fast enough he would lose his last chance. His steps feel so light, like all the pressure of his weight was banishing away.
He runs towards home, to take the hand that promises to take him back to where he belongs. All binds to this miserable tattered costume of a life, breaking down like ash behind him as he sprints. There is no one to hold him back, there is no one to scold him for doing the unthinkable. He is a nobody, the hand that harshly sinks into his flesh and pulls him back can no longer catch him.
He no longer belongs here.
He is free.
