“Yep, that’s Jake,” Jay had told him once, pausing the accursed video Jungwon had taken of the experience to zoom in on the stranger’s face. “He’s one of Heeseung-hyung’s friends. Don’t know much more than that. Seems cool.”
Standing before Sunoo now, Jake definitely does appear “cool,” in some sense of the word. He’s older than Sunoo – likely a year above him, at least. His stance is relaxed, his expression chipper, and he seems to actually want to be here, which is more than Sunoo can say for his past group project partners. Of all the people he could have been paired with for this final assignment, this certainly isn’t a bad one to land with.
Now if only Sunoo hadn’t drunkenly waxed poetry about the guy’s bone structure to his face at a random party surrounded by multitudes of people.

Tommy nearly spits out the poor excuse for green beans as he stares at the new kidーRamboob, he’s pretty sureーwith his eyes wide and his mouth shut tightly in case he actually does spit out the school’s daily vegetables.
He scoffed, completely swallowing the green beans in his mouth so he doesn’t have to talk with it half-full. “I can’t believe you would say something like that, Ramboob, The Blade would never date someone like Dream,” Tommy almost shivered at his own words. To think, to think that this new kid who is trying to steal Tubbo from him, now thought that Mr. Blade, the coolest teacher and possibly the coolest man in the world, would ever date Dream, the lowest of the low, the tyrant, the only person who would assign twenty homework questions in the hardest subject.
If Dream was dating anybody, it would be whatever loser invented math.
Or: Tommy doesn't believe that Mr. Blade, his English teacher, and Dream, his math teacher, are together, and Ranboo's also there

Tommy doesn’t get to finish. There’s a sharp shink sound in the air, and quicker than Tommy can even blink, the object in Techno’s hand has lengthened, shot into the water below. The metal of a blade reflects the sunlight, and the water where it enters ripples outwards.
Techno lifts the blade out of the water. A fish lies stabbed through.
“Ah,” Tommy says weakly.
Techno raises his gaze to Tommy. For the first time since Tommy laid eyes on him, he genuinely feels afraid. Techno is holding a blade, he’s obviously a fucking expert and now he’s just staring at Tommy, oh god he’s going to kill him—
There's a grunt. Then Techno wades to the edge of the pond, lifts himself out, and begins the journey down the dirt road and towards his ship.

When a UFO crashes right behind Tommy's house, he takes it upon himself to befriend the pig-shaped alien that crashed down with it.
