Summary
Hogan has a mission: blow up a local synthetic fuels refinery with the help of a civilian doctor. It sounds easy, right? Get in, schlep the dynamite, plant it in the right spot, and boom. One refinery that's blown to hell. The mission should be a cakewalk - Hogan has done far more dangerous things in his time and he's pretty sure that this isn't going to be one of them, right?
Wrong.
Their first problem is named Kurt Meyer. The second problem is Kurt Meyer's mangled leg and the fact that he chose a commando raid to desert. The third problem is that the refinery is still standing and London isn't about to airdrop penicillin for a wounded kraut. Add in an increasingly grumpy scientist and more than a few jumpy Germans and one gets the biggest botch up the Allies have seen to date.
Hopefully, Hogan can pull off a save. The future of the free world may well be riding on it.
