Ba Sing Se Stands!
The tide of the war is shifting. Rapid Fire Nation successes in the beginning brought them to the gates of the Earth Kingdom capital itself, but they have broken upon its walls. Now, aided by their new Air Nomad and Water Tribe allies, and armed with advanced new weapons, the Earth Army sets out to liberate their country- and drive the hated Fire Nation invader into the sea.
The Fire Nation may be on the back foot, but the war is still far from over. The Great Comet still burns its way through space, and is closing in with every passing day. When it arrives, every Firebender on the planet will gain a massive power boost, and the tide could shift once more. Worst of all, Avatar Yue lingers in a Fire Nation jail cell, captured along with the exiled, now disgraced, Prince Zuko. Their friends, now left without a leader, must decide on a new course of action. And all the while, an increasingly desperate Fire Lord Ozai plans a sacrilegious sacrifice, which could put the Fire Nation back on top for good…

Summary
Written for Zukaang Week, Day One. Prompt: Friends
“And now we're friends.” Aang filled in for him happily.
“Yeah.” Zuko dragged the word a bit, looking to the side. That was not, in fact, how he would have phrased that.
A rewrite of the coronation scene.

Summary
Katara hates Ba Sing Se. She hates the Dai Li and she hates sitting back idly watching the people of the lower ring suffer. After weeks of little progress in finding Appa or contacting the Earth King, Katara decides to take matters into her own hands.
Being the Painted Lady offers her a way to offer what little help she can without jeopardising their mission, but when the Blue Spirit appears, things take an unexpected turn. She takes up arms with the man in the wooden mask, fighting the criminals threatening the peace she was working so hard to foster. There's an undeniable tension that flows between the two of them, and the Painted Lady finds herself drawn to the man with the husky laugh and pale hands. Katara however, knows better.
The Painted Lady might be the one to reap the pleasures of the night, but it would always be Katara that suffered the consequences. -

Summary
To ensure his children a decent education, Hakoda decides to move from Hawaii to a small town in the northwestern part of the United States. The town is archaic, as if from a different era, well-kept, with neatly trimmed lawns and fancifully trimmed shrubs. However, this is where the movie ends. There are no vampires, no Stepford wives, no dance ban.
Instead, Katara and Sokka are forced to go to a real school for the first time. Although it is not private, it has all its crazy things, such as uniforms or classes taking place in a noble manor, among sapphire curtains and oak wardrobes.
However, Mythbrook School has more special features. In addition to English and biology classes, there are classes for young benders who wield the four elements.
The siblings are trying to find themselves in the new reality, but it doesn't come easy for them.OR
Typical, aesthetic high school AU, with a homework and tea friend, an older brother's friend, and a school's best fighter, who reveals to them the tiny secret of the local teenagers ruling over the elements.

Summary
After the brutal Agni Kai that scars him body and soul, Prince Zuko is claimed not by banishment—but by divine intervention. Agnis, the mortal incarnation of the Great Sun Spirit Agni, takes the broken boy under his wing, healing his wounds and teaching him the sacred truth of firebending. Under Agnis’ guidance, Zuko flourishes, his heart kindling with gratitude, then reverence… and finally, an all-consuming love for the god who became his father, his mentor, and—inescapably—the only light he craves to possess.
In other words, Zuko was meant to worship the sun—not crave it in his bed.

Summary
"We're going to be alcoholics by the time we're thirty," Sokka sighed.
"You think we'll live to be thirty?" Zuko asked, honestly thrilled. Sokka had pretty good instincts. Perhaps Zuko should reevaluate his long term goals. He could start by having long term goals.
A more likely alternative was that Sokka was just a hopeless optimist. It just went to show, you never truly saw another man until you stood shoulder to shoulder against a fleet of war balloons intent on raining death upon the city you loved.
Zuko was just a normal guy with normal interests. He liked theatre, burglary, crotchety ostrich horses, watching the Blind Bandit crush her opponents in a glorious display of skill and violence... just your standard banished prince things. It wasn't his fault he kept stumbling into rebellions and uncovering long-buried secrets. Fine, maybe freeing the prisoners was on him, but he was completely innocent of all other treason. Zuko was his father's loyal son. He'd never betray his nation.
Or:
Uncle Iroh took a more creative approach to fostering Zuko's appreciation of other cultures. Now it's everyone's Problem. -

Summary
In which Kya's sacrifice—dying in place of the last Southern Bender—drives the North to rejoin the conflict consuming the world, and the Avatar is discovered by the wrong pair of wayward siblings.
Getting out of the Fire Nation Palace a handful of years early works wonders on the mental health of certain individuals. Basically a series rewrite where the Water Tribe's a lot more active and a little more antagonistic, if that's your cup of tea. Sokka prefers the Ginseng, himself.

Summary
“Sokka,” Fire Lord Zuko speaks up. “Are you done talking to them? Because if so-”
“Let's say I'm done, but we'll still have to talk,” says Older Sokka. “We have a problem. More precisely, five problems. These are not members of the New Ozai Society, trying to kill you by disguising themselves as us. It's us. From the past.”
“Hey!” objects loudly younger Sokka. “What are you doing, future me?”
Or: on their way to the North Pole, Aang, Katara and Sokka are ambushed by Zuko and his uncle. Somehow, this leads to them visiting the future.

Summary
hey guys!! this is my first fic so i’m really sorry if it’s not the best quality, buttt i’ve had this idea in my head for ages because nobody ever makes katara angst and my girl has gone thru it. also im obsessed with angst in an unhealthy way
anywho i’m kinda gonna reflect this a bit on my past experiences with self harm, also if you didn’t read the tagsTHIS FIC HAS SELF HARMING IN IT AND IS COMPLETELY BASED AROUND THAT
Katara wasn’t sure when she started. The years after her mom died were all a blur. her only memory around that time was Sokka finding out, right before they found Aang. He didn’t take it well.
She wished Zuko could just keep his mouth shut, then she wouldn’t have to be explaining this to all her friends.
forgot to mention that everyone here is infact aged up, just a bit. sokka and katara still found aang when they were 14 and 16, but i’m making it so instead of a few months, they were all together for a year or two.
OH and kya died when katara was 8,and sokka was 11katara: 16
sokka/suki : 18
zuko : 19
toph : mid- 14
aang. : freshly 14
toph and aangs age diff is so irrelevant i just wanted o throw it in the story -

Summary
Captured aboard Prince Zuko’s ship, Mahina—Southern Water Tribe waterbender and oldest sister to Katara and Sokka—never imagined her imprisonment would become something far more complicated. Bound by spirit-touched dreams, conflicted loyalties, and a deepening connection with the exiled prince hunting the Avatar, Mahina walks the razor-thin line between traitor and survivor.
As the war rages and the world shifts around them, Mahina and Zuko are forced to question everything: their duty, their pain, and the unexpected pull between them. From smoke-choked battlefields to whispered confessions in storm-lit caves, this is the story of a girl who should have hated her captor—and the boy who didn’t know how to be loved.
Enemies become allies. Captives become companions. And sometimes… the heart chooses a path no nation can contain.
