Summary
You’d think after dying and living and dying and being reborn for so many times, life would start getting boring. You’d be right, but alas, Zuko must, as a wise person once said, “suck it up and deal with it” But just because Zuko has not a singular fuck left, doesn’t mean he will leave Azula with Ozai, or Iroh, or Lu Ten, and- oh yeah, the gaang. Okay that’s- a lot.
Welp, this is going to take a while.
Tags and characters may change and will be added with each chapter. This is NOT beta read and prob won’t be. Upload schedule? Never heard of her. Be warned, English is not my first language.

Summary
After the events of War Crimes, Sokka and Zuko have escaped Zhao’s warship and are fleeing across the Earth Kingdom. As well as unfamiliar terrain, they have to navigate their shared trauma, work out where they fit into the war, and their place in each others lives.
Sokka is aware that being friends with the enemy is going to bring complications, but he probably should have guessed that being friends with Zuko in particular, was going to be a bit like dunking your head repeatedly into a bucket of angry Fire Ferrets.
Katara is also grappling with the confusion of befriending an enemy, something that doesn’t prove as difficult as she had expected with the bond of shared, furious grief bridging old wounds. (Learning a new way to look at her bending doesn't hurt either)
Azula, struggling with the Fire Lord’s mistrust, encounters a few nasty surprises and has to make some difficult decisions. Luckily, she is a great deal better at making sensible choices than her brother.
Her father may have made a slight tactical error.

Summary
"You think I hate you? You think I'd ever kill you?" Sokka holds Zuko's face in both hands, blood dripping from his lips. "I'd fall on my spear for you. I'd find you anywhere. What do you think that means?"
Rescued, but imprisoned, Zuko finds himself no further from death on a water tribe ship. Sokka, the chief, would see him bleeding out on the boards of the deck as justice. He's a fire bender, the evil of the war that his father rages through their world. Zuko hasn't been a part of that war. Not for years. Now he's thrust back into it against his will, finding himself fighting on a side he never expected to be a part of. Maybe he'll find a cause worth fighting for; someone worth fighting for.

Summary
Zuko had scrubbed the smell of sex and blood of himself, but that didn’t stop it from clinging to the inside of his nose. Could the others smell it? Could they taste his shame in the back of their throats too?
Irrationally, Zuko wanted to crawl inside himself. Peel those watching eyes off him; don’t look at me! They knew, somehow. They could see it on him. Some kind of tell, some stain he couldn’t see or wash away.
What if they all knew? Laughing behind his back at what he’d given up just for a fraction of a chance to get his honor back.
What honor? Any scrap he’d had left after the Agni Kai was lost the moment he spread his legs for Zhao.
They could all see it, couldn’t they?
Zuko wondered if he could ever be rid of the things Zhao did to him.
Zuko deals with the aftermath.
He goes about it the same way he deals with every other shitty thing in his life: with gritted teeth, stubborn pride, and a whole lot of yelling.Series

Summary
Zuko knows his father does not believe the Avatar is alive, he does not truly expect him to find them. He's being punished for his disrespect, for not living up to what his father demands. He might deserve it, but he won't spend his life looking for someone who hasn't existed in nearly one hundred years.
If he's going to be a disappointment, he may as well do what he pleases, and if that means joining a pirate crew, chasing some spirits and blowing up whatever Fire Navy harbors are on the way, so be it.
-or-
A few months after Zuko's banishment he finds himself on a pirate ship.
____
Sokka/Zuko is endgame, but it's the slowest of slow burns.
MCD is not either of them.
There are original characters, I promise they don’t suck — I’m also apprehensive about ocs in fanfic but hopefully you end up loving them as much as I do —

Summary
Sokka’s experiences attending Kyoshi Academy with chronic illness through his letters to his best friend Yue.
“Then Professor Iroh said, “Getting to know my nephew Zuko is like making a cup of tea. You must be patient, or else your tea will be weak and you may get burned. Please trust that his heart is in the right place. I’m sure the two of you will become great friends with time.”
So yeah, I have no idea what that’s supposed to mean. Do you? Because it sounded a little ominous. ‘His heart is in the right place’ like did he murder someone?! Is Iroh trying to tell me to sleep with one eye open? Honestly, having an old man obsessed with tea deliver me cryptic warnings about his nephew is not exactly what I was expecting when I got here today, but I’m kind of here for it.”
