Summary
You had been Nick Fury's right hand for your whole life, and you were fine with that. Your duty was to help people- one mission at a time.
Then everything went to shit. After an encounter with a masked soldier with a metal arm, leaving you barely breathing, you left. Ready to put the violence, the pain, and the unrequited justice- all behind you.
But things never could be normal again... guilt and grief around every corner, and the worst part was that you had no purpose now. Nothing to make all the pain worth it.
That was until Steve Rogers showed up at your door, asking for your help with one more mission. What he failed to mention was the reason why you left in the first place, The Winter Soldier, was a part of it, too.
