Summary
A journey through the Stargate is taken. It leads to a different Universe and a different space within two travellers. A gateway to feelings and emotions that have been hidden, suppressed is uncovered. A gateway emoted in different tongues and touches, but understood, no matter the language that the words are spoken in. A gateway uncovered in one, quick blinding flash of lightning, stolen with a smile and a touch.
Another traveller follows the same route, but they steal a darker path... One that is slowly uncovered by loss and pain and death.

“What exactly—” Faer lifted a piece of paper held between her fingers. “—is the meaning of this?”
A tankard of ale could fall over right now, and it wouldn't be heard over her fellow guildmates’ cheering.
“Congratulations—”
“I didn't think you'd be the one for this, but I'll take it!”
“I won the bet, give me that—!”
She turned the paper over and saw ‘William’ scrawled over it. She glared at the laughter resounding from one of the patrons.
Before she dragged one of the louder ones outside for a beating, one of them finally cleared his throat and explained.
“See, we had a…” he snapped his fingers as he thought, “…a lottery sort of thing? You know the gala mission right?”
Faer raised an eyebrow. The undercover commission? They had insisted upon completing it since last week.
He waved his hand. “What matters is he got your name and you got his, so…”
He trailed off, letting her piece it together on her own.

Or, a prequel as guild members William and Faer have to get along for a gala. It's all in good fun.
