As the elevator doors opened with a ding, people started pushing, and soon Wei Wuxian found himself pressed between the inner wall and Lan Zhan’s arm. Ugh. You could feel even through the layers of fabric that he was one of those annoying people who worked out regularly, not because of a doctor’s orders, or because they enjoyed it, but because it was good for you.
Oh, god, Lan Zhan said. Alright, don’t panic. Deep breaths. You can do this.
A Cherry Magic AU, where Wei Wuxian on his 30th birthday finds himself in a crowded elevator next to Lan Zhan, and soon realizes two things:
1. that there seems to be some truth to that ridiculous urban legend about 30-year-old virgins being able to hear the thoughts of other people as soon as they touch.
2. that Lan Zhan works out, AND that he, despite his stoic exterior, thinks that Wei Wuxian smells good and has an adorable bed-head, along with some other not-so PG-13 fantasies and thoughts.
And no, Wei Wuxian has no idea what to do with this information.

Cor approached him, cradling the bundle carefully and keeping a wary eye on their surroundings. When he was within arm’s reach, he pulled back the collar to reveal a blond baby, fussing quietly and chewing a piece of leather.
“What the tail-slapped—”
“Yes, it’s a baby, stop freaking out.” Pelna thought he was rather entitled to freak out. “Can you fit him under your breastplate or not?”
Pelna is sent to scout what seems to be distracting the Niflheim base they're fighting. He finds quite a bit more than he expected, but he's gotten pretty good at rolling with the punches. That's why he's one of the best. He can freak out later.
Meanwhile, Nyx frets unproductively, then rather more productively and Pelna gets to oversee the fruits of his labor.
