Marle Clef de Nuit, the evil goddess who is the final boss of the Dungeons and Dragons world, who goes under the nickname "Eternal Vicious Circle", plans with her sidekick Toad Ténébreux to take the revenge of the Toads over Princess Peach...
Some time after, Toad Ténébreux discover the existence of the Shroobs and what they did to the Toads and he with his godly partner in crime, decide to "cast the Shroobs aside", as they say!

Toadmida is usually forgiving, but even then, her forgiveness runs thin sometimes. That person happens to be Head Scientist Shroogagen (Gagen) - he was responsible for the Vim Factory that nearly drained Toadmida of her Vim.
She is a crucial part of setting up a new peaceful Shroob kingdom, but Gagen happens to be her coworker.
The leader of the Shroobs must explain why they chose Gagen despite Toadmida's trauma.

And Bella (Elder Princess Shroob), she was singing an old tune in Shroob.
"Bella…?" You knocked on the door. When you pressed your side against the wooden door, her boisterous style of song made your heart flutter. She bellowed her words to an ancient melody with abandon. You heard the scrapes of pans against pots and water running.

Summary
The Shroob Invasion in the Mushroom Kingdom of the Past didn't fare well for the Shroobs; the Shroob Princesses died and the Shroobs were considered extinct. But, not every Shroob left their dying planet. Regent Shroob, third in line after the Princesses, starts the Second Shroob Invasion.
RuV33n had just met Fawful, an Earthling runaway who knows the Shroob language (after eating a worm). Now, the two try to survive in the Mushroom Kingdom while meeting Midbus and other faces along the way. Meanwhile, Captain Goomba and his squad are on the lookout for RuV33n and Fawful convinced that they will only cause disaster. The Koopa Kingdom is also fighting the Second Shroob Invasion.
When the Regent puts the people RuV33n grows close to in danger, RuV33n questions if there's more to being a Shroob than what they've been told their entire life.

Summary
Thirty years before the event of the Second Shroob Invasion, the Regent was originally supposed to leave with Elder Princess Shroob for Earth while Princess Shroob stayed behind. But, something forced him to stay.
Whatever could be the reason why? Maybe someone was dearly wronged, or maybe a whole planet? Maybe someone needs to pay for their actions?
And they say "an arm for an arm" or was it "actions have consequences."

In a last hope for survival, the Shroobs left with Princess Shroob to conquer Earth. This planet had everything the Shroobs needed from a rock that basked endlessly in starlight. What resulted was horrible, horrible genocide. The genocide stopped when two brothers and their younger selves halted the invasion.
But...that was thirty years ago.
There are Shroobs who remained on the planet. When the Regent tries for a second invasion, an uncertain and anxious Shroob gets stranded on Earth. Things sure do happen as the Shroob questions their sense of self. But, they also find that things on Earth aren't as bad as they seem.

Set just before the start of season 5 for reasons that are VERY IMPORTANT to the plot... though this will not come until play for awhile.
