Summary
The choices we make, or others make for us, change who we become. Or do they?
Julian Bashir was meant to be a doctor. But when his augment status nearly comes to light at Starfleet Academy, he pivots—quietly, strategically—into engineering, hiding among Starfleet's remote outposts. His latest assignment: a contested Class-P planet, where the days stretch to 27 hours and the company is limited to a handful of observers… including one Garak. Charming. Cryptic. Dangerous?
Cut off from the rest of the galaxy by atmospheric interference, Julian finds himself navigating more than the frigid planet surface. As he and Garak find themselves in close quarters—and closer conversations—the outpost begins to fail. Hidden agendas surface, and a fragile alliance may be the only thing standing between survival and ruin.
A ‘butterfly flaps its wings’ AU where Julian and Garak cross paths years before the events of DS9.
Completed, updated weekly.

Summary
After decades of political and economic pressures fail to inspire a Cardassian withdrawal from its occupation of Bajor, the Federation decides to intervene, neutrality be damned.
A joint Starfleet-Bajorian task force led by Commander Benjamin Sisko takes the strategically located Terok-Nor space station. They must maintain control, no matter the cost, long enough for the rest of the ships Starfleet promised to the Bajoran Resistance to reach them. Unfortunately, Bajor is on the fringes of known space, and Starfleet’s forces are stretched thin as it is. Reinforcements could take weeks—months—to arrive.
Against a backdrop of phaser fire and rapidly worsening odds, Doctor Julian Bashir finds himself caught in a vicious battle of wits with an Obsidian Order operative called the Tailor. A strange mutual respect soon grows between them. A strange…affection.
However, when a botched mission results in Julian’s capture, they must both decide how far they’re willing to go (and how much they’re willing to sacrifice) to win.
Will you walk into my parlor? said the spider to the fly.

Summary
Julian discovers Garak sneaking into his room at night, blanket around him and feeble excuses for his behavior. What's going on?
-------
"No, I calculated it based on the innumerable times I broke here before. Now can you please come back here?" Garak sounded like he was beginning to lose his patience, but there was also something else to his voice. Something almost pleading, as if admitting it was physically painful.“The innumerable? First, we’re going to have to have a long talk about you not respecting my privacy. Which I know for a fact is a concept you Cardassians do have, so don't try to convince me this is a federation norm you weren't aware of.” Julian snapped as he sat primly on the edge of the bed, making sure to stay away from him. How many times had this happened?
"Why? you never complained before."
“Because I wasn’t aware!”
"Then why are you annoyed?"

Shameless domestic fluff. Garak pays an unexpected visit to Bashir’s quarters; they snipe at each other about privacy and poetry, and take a bath. Set some time in season 3.
