Summary
Brainstorm was silent, field indicating nothing. Perceptor calculated whether it would be more logical or illogical to wait, and concluded the latter. Brainstorm made rapid decisions, and had not formerly needed encouragement to voice them, but that had been millions of stellar cycles ago. “I would appreciate promptness in your rejection.”
“Who said anything about rejecting?” Brainstorm tipped his head to the side. “I’m just trying to make sure I’ve got this straight in my processor. You performed ethically dubious, untested, methodologically uncertain engineering on yourself. Because you missed me.”
Perceptor deleted all of his emotions for a reason. After the Quintesson threat leads Optimus Prime to push through the Autobot-Decepticon Alliance, that reason no longer applies. Fixing the situation is going to take some trial and error...and a self-proclaimed genius.

Or, why Skyfire is not allowed to go to mycological conferences for the next three years.
“six—seven—Sideswipe, well done getting the limbs, glad someone’s keeping track of them—eigh—“ Ratchet paused in his helmcount. “Human, is it too much to hope you snuck on at the battlefield?”
“Sorry,” Dr. Lee said, not sounding especially sorry.

Jazz knows what happens to princes who lose wars. He's prepared for all kinds of horrible things to happen once he agrees to be conjunxed to someone he'd thought was his friend, when he was young and stupid.
Too bad Prowl seems bent on playing the waiting game, because staying braced to take a hit that never comes is exhausting.
“So, Lieutenant General Prowl. Is this an offer?”
Prowl’s wings tilted up. “If you want it to be. Yes.”
“Then I accept your suit, on my honor as Prince of Staniz and Polyhex.” Jazz stared Prowl down, already making plans. “If you don’t mind, my lord, I’d appreciate you letting your Prime know before my brother makes any unfortunate choices."Series

Ironhide is in charge of putting together the festivities for the Festival of the Unmaker, a holiday the Autobots haven't had a chance to celebrate since before the Ark crash. Carly helps, observes, and learns.
“And they’re threatening…each other?” Carly said, still feeling like she was missing a piece.
“No, they’re threatening Unicron,” Trailbreaker corrected. The humans traded looks. On the field, Gears took over.
“Like…your evil god,” Raoul said, flatly. “You called him up and now you're threatening him. This whole thing is smack talking Robot Satan?"
“Well, yeah.” Trailbreaker waved one hand at the field. “Why else would we want his attention?”Series

Several years into knowing the Autobots, Spike gets a car. Everyone has an opinion.
“Spike hates me. He’s replaced me. He never wants to see me again,” Bee said mournfully into the metal of the couch.
Windcharger patted him again, not looking up from his pad, and said “Spike got a car.”
“Oh,” Cliffjumper said. “I didn’t know he could do that.”

Generally, Rodimus tried not to model his behavior on Optimus. He didn’t need people thinking they were the same, or worse, expecting Rodimus to be responsible, blech. But ‘it seemed like fun’ had still always seemed like a pretty good guiding principle.
Which was why Rodimus was currently sneaking out of the Palace, looping the hallway cameras as he went.

The Autobot cadets try to make sure Caminus, the first stop of the Autobot diplomatic tour, goes smoothly--by staying out of the way. This only sort of works.
It’s not as though the evening had been going perfectly before Hot Rod spontaneously combusted, but Hot Rod spontaneously combusting certainly didn’t help.

Summary
Orion Pax had been hurrying out of the Archive and back to his dock for his shift when an ancient artifact, propulsed by the explosion of Sentinel Prime (with a little too much speed to be completely believable, but then again, the Matrix of Leadership was known to do strange things to fundamental physics on occasion), sailed it's way from the Primal Palace Entrance and directly into his chestplates.
Primus, it seemed, had seen a chance to get a new, better Prime to serve his children in the explosive assassination of his unchosen Prime. There was Civil War to avert, and nothing short of the most optimal Prime would do.
The Matrix was a mysterious artifact for a reason. It also never was as powerful as when the very fate of Cybertron hung in the balance. Poised on the edge of the destruction of Cybertronian Civilisation, as it was then, as it had been back during the Quintesson Invasion, the Vessel of Primus could do miracles.
