Summary
Lex Luthor prefers using negative reinforcement as a motivational tool, but when Ultraman is born, Lex knows he needs to prioritise efficacy over self-indulgence. The solution is the bonding protocol, which combines imprinting, pleasure, and pain to rapidly develop Ultraman's loyalty and obedience. Although the protocol is successful, Ultraman secretly sets his own mission: To prove to Lex that he is more than a weapon.
