This is no wolf.
It’s much too large, its fangs much too vicious, its stature much too terrifying. It’s an animal from legend, a monstrous canine that shames even the direwolves that Mike’s read about in paleontology books. No, this is a beast of nightmares, one that would rip and tear apart even the mightiest of warriors in old myths.
Taking a step back, Mike numbly thinks that he himself has stumbled into some sort of bizarre fairy tale.
He is Red Riding Hood, and this wolf is the monster that will bring about his demise.

Or, Mike Wheeler disappeared from his family's household in Minnesota due to a wolf attack two years ago. One year ago, he came back to them in Hawkins Indiana, where he met his Party and the Losers Club.
