And finally, Wally glances over at her, just for a second. His brow furrows. “...you were scared,” he mutters, and looks so lost about it that Rhonda’s heart aches. And when he continues, his voice is just a little rougher. “October first, 1983.”
She squints at him. “What?”
He turns to look at her fully, still leaned up against his arm, and sighs. “That’s how long I’ve wanted to lay that fucker out. Since October first, 1983.”
