Maomao’s head swings in the Quack’s direction.
“Nobody knows what the Imperial Younger Brother even looks like. How the hell have there been assassination attempts? And how the hell have they been getting away with it?” she asks, “And why the hell do we have to get involved?”
“Well, little lady, I’m not sure why the Imperial Palace would want to involve us, but that’s what I was told. On the bright side, you can think of this as a new adventure. Either way, it looks like we’ll be briefed soon,” the Quack says, just as the newcomer enters their forensics lab.
