Summary
Reposting an old story of mine as complete:
She wasn't actually Haru, to begin with. But she hadn't been Rika either, or Kasumi before that or Anise before that. Since her birth, there had been nothing but a steady procession of people she wasn't. She was a ghost, she supposed, or something equally as incorporeal. A creature that was able to sneak in through the unguarded cracks of children's hearts and take control over them. But she found that motherhood suited her well-until she was torn between two hearts, two selves.
Open Pandora's box and enjoy this old story. It doesn't have an end - except the one you decide yourself.

Devi Marigold was street trash. Living her life based on the adage of "use and be used", she got in scuffles with people to get what she needed, or sold her company for the same. As a result she couldn't imagine a life where anyone would help and want nothing out of her. Until Jackal. But after all, the world is use or be used, and in the end, she kills her saviour and his love. She wants to die.
Enter Dee and Dum, stage left. Dee and Dum killed Alice in their attempt to steal her heart, but even foreigners can be replaced. They ask Lucy one question- "Then won't you give us your life?" The life that she isn't using. Devi Marigold agrees.
