Summary
Arthur suddenly raised his right hand, startling John as he reached up. Something cold spread when he realized that Arthur was touching the scar on his throat. “Or our only choice being to kill ourselves,” he mumbled. “I remember dying, John. I remember dying too many damn times. And I’m afraid this will be the one it sticks.”
John’s vision blurred and for a moment he thought the sky was shifting, its dim lights forming into a mocking and twisted mimicry of stars. Then he realized it was tears. His tears.
(In the Dark World, John and Arthur search for a brief moment of comfort.)

Arthur, I think it has seen us! It's stomping its bloodied hooves, ears flat to its head, lowering itself… it's going to fucking kill us, get the hell up! Panic now in John's voice, no, outright fear and figured Arthur thought almost listlessly that this was what he’d leave John with as Arthur failed to keep them, keep him, save.
Arthur, you need to fucking move!
He had given in to Horig so easily. All it took was one single moment and he had given up. Maybe this was what he deserved.

Another scream coming from John and this time Arthur flinches as the pain of John’s voice echoes in his head. “Better,” Barnabas growls the moment John speaks. He has … he broke my finger, Arthur. T-two of them, the trigger and the…
Stops and screams again and for a moment Arthur feels Barnabas' hand against his wrist, the part where John ends and he begins, and he can almost hear the crack of Barnabas bending back John's finger until it breaks. Again panic, fear, pain but this time anger too, so much anger at what Barnabas is doing, doing to John.
(Set during Part 49, Arthur and John do not manage to get away from Barnabas that quickly...)

Summary
A tendril spreading from his shoulder, wandering down his arm, expanding into smaller ones that wrap around his hand.
He forces his eyes closed. A dream, he thinks. Just another dream. Not the first, likely not the last. He probably should see somebody about them but he has no clue what to say or how to even start explaining them.
You see, he thinks, imaging himself lying on a couch, there was this alien who took over my body and then we fought other aliens who wanted to kill us and then he died for me and now I want to cry whenever I dream of him.

Summary
Beautiful, John whispered when Arthur finished playing the piano, something almost close to awe in his voice and the raw emotion in the single word almost knocked the air out of Arthur. “It's nothing special,” Arthur said, feeling light-headed all of a sudden.
It's yours, John replied and Arthur felt the nonsensical urge to duck his head to hide from a non-existent gaze all while suddenly desperately and more than ever before wishing he could see, could see John, wishing John had something to see so he could stare until he understood what exactly John meant with that.
(Back in Arkham, Arthur starts composing a song for somebody specific.)
