Summary
Almost ten years after Voldemort’s capture, Draco Malfoy, forced to work as an Auror as part of a rehabilitation program to keep children on the wrong side of the war out of Azkaban, is given a promotion. The only problem is that promotion comes with a new work partner. This partner will cause old feelings to stir, forcing Draco to confront the past he spent five years in Azkaban trying to forget. The old Draco Malfoy may begin to rear his head as he struggles to reconcile who he once was with who he is now. Will his new work partner become the source of his demise or the only person able to save him from himself?

Things might jump around a bit, so expect non-linear story telling—from 8th yr to 6th yr, to the war, to their post hogwarts careers. Summary
Hermione Granger is adrift. Her job feels pointless, her relationship feels more like habit than love, and everyone else seems to have ‘moved on’ while she’s emotionally stuck in 1998. She finds a shop that feels misplaced in time, and picks up a journal. When she begins to write, someone writes back. A foe from the opposite side of the war, who is quickly becoming her closest friend.
Draco Malfoy is spiralling because it turns out redemption arcs don’t come with an instruction manual. He is lost, careening along with no purpose, no life outside of work. In a shop full of broken and forgotten things, he comes across a journal of his own. In the ink, he finds a new friend, a woman who believes he can be something greater than he was.
There's just one problem: they have no idea who the other person truly is.
And seriously, don't ask why he's called Steve.
