Summary
Buck tried not to think about how much lighter Eddie had seemed lately-- ever since he’d come back from El Paso with Chris. There was a freedom to him now, like he’d finally let go of some invisible weight.
Something had definitely shifted, but Buck couldn’t quite put his finger on it. Whatever it was, it made Eddie seem... brighter. Happier, so much so that he's flirting with Buck!?
Buck was sure he was going insane.

Summary
Hen reaches out of her bunk to turn off the overhead light. Buck’s face is illuminated by the glow of his phone. After a minute or so, he locks the screen, his face disappearing into the darkness.
“So what was everyone’s first kiss like?”
The Station 118 bunkroom has witnessed a lot over the years. Private conversations, spats, occasions of affection, joy, and anguish. It’s seen pranks, and games, and camaraderie. It’s even been privy to an unfolding love story or two.

Summary
“Stop,” Eddie muttered.
Buck frowned. “What?”
“Stop being so… okay with this!” Eddie snapped, setting the bottle down harder than he meant to. The glass clinked sharply against the coffee table.
Buck blinked, clearly caught off guard. “Eddie, what are you talking about?”
Eddie stood abruptly, pacing the length of the living room. “You don’t get it, do you?”
“Clearly not,” Buck retorted, standing as well, his voice rising to match Eddie’s. “So why don’t you tell me what I’m supposed to say? Should I beg you not to go? Would that make this easier for you?”
Eddie froze, the words cutting deeper than he expected. “That’s not what I-”
“Because I’m trying, Eddie!” Buck interrupted, his voice cracking slightly. “I’m trying to be supportive, to give you space to do what you need to do, but you’re making it impossible.”
Eddie’s frustration boiled over. “Maybe because you’re acting like you don’t care!”
“Don’t care?” Buck let out a bitter laugh, taking a step closer. “Are you kidding me? You’re leaving, Eddie! You’re leaving me, and you’re acting like I’m supposed to just what?… be fine with it!”
“I’m doing this for Chris!” Eddie shot back.
