  3. Summary

Harold didn't expect to live through the war with Samaritan. He didn't expect to make it off that last rooftop. He didn't expect one ill-advised night spent tangled up with John to have any lasting consequences.

He should have learned to expect the unexpected by now.

Or, after the fall of Samaritan, Harold learns he's pregnant. Where does a man who's lost so much go from there?

    Summary

“I shall be speaking to the council,” he declared, lifting his chin.

“Tell them I say hi,” Crowley said, cheerfully. “Want a flake for the road?”

Aziraphale turned on his heel, red-faced and fuming, and stormed off without another word - which might have been more effective if Crowley hadn’t called after him, “See you tomorrow, gorgeous!”

To his great and growing shame, Aziraphale did not rule it out.

A rather obnoxious ice cream van keeps parking outside of Aziraphale's bookshop, and he is not having it. Ridiculous bicker-flirting ensues.

I have no idea where this came from. It's not what I wanted to write this weekend at all.
I suppose I came across several fics at once that would describe Crowley having a wank but never Aziraphale.
So. Here we go I suppose.

    Summary

He snapped out of his reverie at the sound of a child crying behind him, and without hesitating he turned around. He wasn’t sure why, but he’d always had a natural gift with kids. A gift he never got to use, having none of his own, but a gift nonetheless. He set his glass down on the bartop, along with a wad of cash that covered his tab and then some, and slowly approached the boy. He looked young–couldn’t have been a day over seven, if he were being generous–with light brown, curly hair and round cheeks, and bright, round blue eyes rimmed with red from crying.

Crowley crouched down so that he was eye-level with the child. “Hey now,” he said in a soft voice. “Why all the tears? Are you lost?”

Crowley has had a fairly peaceful retirement from the spotlight so far, but he still feels like something is missing, even though he can't quite put his finger on what.

Aziraphale is a newly-single father of one, with another on the way. His top priority is being a reliable father, even if it's on his own, but he may slowly learn to trust again.

    Summary

The thought occurred to him, as so many great thoughts did, in the shower.
It was quite strange. He had always assumed that such discoveries would come in the form of great revelations at pivotal moments in life, accompanied by appropriate background music and, perhaps, a well-choreographed song and dance if life was feeling fancy. Assumed that it would be part of a greater narrative which would inevitably lead to some sort of conclusion. A satisfying ending to a story arch.
But there was no music, no song, no dancing, no greater narrative. Just a regular shower on a regular Monday as he got ready to open the bookshop for the day.
Life wasn't a story, after all, and as the water poured down on him and the hot steam fogged up the mirror above the sink, he realised, with no warning or preamble, that he was, in fact, a he.
    Oh.
It was a patient thought. Calm. It sat in his mind, quite still and almost unobtrusive, if it wasn't for its persistence, its alien shape and nature, its gentle pulsing like a beating heart. It was impossible to ignore. And the thing was, he didn't want to ignore it.
    I am a man.
