    "Find out if he's your son. If you want."

    "Damn it!" Doc muttered. "Michael, if there's a kid out there who's mine, then I want to meet him. He could be my boy. My son."

    "But he could also not be. You have to be prepared for everything," Sheriff said and tried to be logical.

    Doc lives an orderly life, which is thrown upside down one day when he finds a picture of a young racer in the newspaper. The boy looks like Doc in his twenties. To get to the bottom of this, he drives to Los Angeles with Sheriff and becomes Lightning's new crew chief after decades of hiding. Two worlds collide. The orderly simple man and the chaotic boy with a few mental problems. Will the DNA test say it's Doc's son?

    Or: Lightning and Doc develop a father-son relationship, which Lightning desperately needs after his difficult past and Doc needs it as well.
