Summary
I could still picture Jinx’s smile when she lifted that platter, and when she rolled the other chair in and I saw those eyes that I thought I wouldn’t see again. I remember the devastating look in them. The muzzle with the smile painted onto it, the paint going over the edge and covering her soft skin. In that moment I wasn’t even scared for myself. Just her.
And now, even though she was mostly safe in her bed, I realized that look had never truly left her face. A sheen of sweat covered her brow. I reached to wipe it off, but as I did so she shook.
“Please… Jinx… please,” she muttered.
My eyes shot open wide. I thought about waking her up, but I wasn’t sure if she would fall back asleep, and some selfish part of me wanted to hear about what happened that night with her and Jinx, knowing that she might not ever tell me.
Her breathing hurries. “Please,” she muttered again, broken. “Please don’t hurt me.”

Divergence that slows down season two, is more in character in my opinion, and is mostly Caitvi.
