"Jeez, this lighting is ass. I feel like I'm back at camp, telling stories in the dark," he said, hoping to get some sort of conversation started. He glanced over at Bob from the corner of his eye. The WSO was staring off at some point in the distance, picking absently at a loose thread on the couch next to him.

"What are you thinking about?" Hangman asked, his tone softer, more genuine this time. He really was curious; it was less some cheap attempt to break the silence, more about figuring out the mystery of the quiet WSO.

"Nothin', just...I wasn't supposed to be here."

    --------

Hangman and Bob get stuck at a hangar during a particularly gnarly storm. In the quiet of the hangar, Hangman figures out Bob.

    Summary

Following the events of Civil War, Steve and the rest of the Rogues are taken care of in Wakanda while Shuri works to de-program the Winter Soldier. Shortly after, Steve and Tony come back together to work through their shit and team up to ratify the Accords and bring the team in front of the UN in an effort to let the dust settle and move forward.

As a result, the Rogues are put on house arrest. Bucky, on the other hand, succumbs to a harsher punishment due to public outcry and political maneuvering. Guilt-ridden and unwilling to fight for himself, Bucky accepts a plea deal and is sent to be imprisoned on the Raft for two years before spending the rest of his life on probation.

The good friend that he is, Steve convinces the rest of the team to write to Bucky in order to stave off loneliness. Bucky finds most of the letters contrite, painful, or meaningless. But there's something about Barton's that makes him write back...

    Summary

So, it didn’t start out like this.

Alfred would scoff at the statement, about how Bruce was trying to justify the whole situation to himself. It had started out as a simple design, black everything with black outlines and black hood. It got a little more intense as the world went on, got wind of his ghost on the streets, and became scared of The Bat . So Bruce got a little more creative with it, Alfred and him had a good laugh over the name, the scare, and Alfred had a vicious streak of humor that he had passed onto his ward-

So now the suit had a visible bat-theme, an insignia to drape in the shadows and to paint across the streets of Gotham.

It only took a year into the whole charade of heroism for Bruce to overhear a conversation between some goons- some low level thug hired by the Riddler this week- about nothing at all pertaining to what the hell the Riddler was doing in the sewers but instead:

“ The Batman can fly, you know, I’ve seen his wings.”

    --

A world where nobody has wings, but people think they do, and that changes everything.

    Summary

“She Collapsed the Night” is a novelization of the 2025 film “The Gorge,” remaining faithful to its gripping romance-thriller narrative while weaving in a carefully curated soundtrack that enhances the tone, mood, and emotional depth of each chapter. With precise attention to detail, this adaptation mirrors the film’s intensity of two elite operatives stationed on opposite towers, guarding a mysterious chasm referred to as the gates of hell. Bound by duty, trapped in isolation, and stalked by horrors that defy nature, they form an impossible bond, one written in blood, silence, and stolen moments. PG-13 Rating.

Each of the twenty chapters aligns with roughly six minutes of screen time and is named after a song that encapsulates its atmosphere, ranging from haunting synth melodies to raw, defiant punk anthems. The music is the only slight canon divergence, seamlessly embedded into the narrative to enrich the characters’ inner worlds and their unspoken connection. Completed 3/16/25 and approximately 175 pages.

The Gorge Fanfiction Playlist is available on YouTube, offering readers an immersive experience to accompany the story.
