After Giovanni - in an attempt to get Ash off his team's back - assassinates Ash's father as a warn shot, Ash showed him what a real warn shot is. They made a truce. Giovanni didn't take a week before he broke it. While Giovanni is tracking down his wife, Ash is going for the kill (if Sabrina would let him). Either way, he'll give Giovanni and his team a reckoning.
