She doesn't realize that she's sobbing until she has to scrub a hand over her eyes so she can see. Riza is already getting back to her feet, wobbly from the adrenaline and fear, when a hand pats her leg. It's Berthold, looking up at her solemnly. 'Nothing can fix this', his eyes say, though it's only a trickle of blood that comes out of his mouth, trailing down his chin.
She jerks away from his touch, arms wrapped tightly around her own chest. “I'll be back soon, I promise.”

It yanked Link’s head up by his hair and pried open his mouth. Link fought, but nothing he could do would let him escape the Lynel's firm grasp. It forced the thick contents of the bottle down Link’s throat.
Link choked, instinctively gagging on the searing liquid. Pain shot through his body as he spasmed, his limbs shaking. He wanted to scream, or throw up, or do anything to get the substance out of his body. He could feel it sitting in his stomach and stewing there, sending out jabs of pain that overcame his body as he started to hyperventilate in the Lynel's grasp.
It tossed him to the floor and he landed face first into the grass.

Hawkeye does what she does best: shooting and hiding behind a façade of apathy. The only one who knows her true feelings is Major Mustang. But even taking solace in his comfort becomes sullied by the ghosts of both her and Roy's kills.
She does not take pleasure in the slaughtering of innocent people, but she can not oppose the entirety of the Amestrian military; so, she is doomed to follow orders and be a perfect, stoic, unflinching soldier.
But there is one who is working to put cracks in her walls, removing her carefully placed bricks, bit by bit.
**Currently on hiatus** I hope to get back into the story by mid to late November!
