An accented voice cut through the noice of the shower. Jacob needn't have to turn around to know who it is. Jacob heard wet footsteps and the creaking of wood coming behind, then a disk of a shadow of an umbrella looming over him, shielding him from the rain. Yet, Jacob feigned ignorance to it.
“You know how worried we—the others were when they found out you went missing? I thought the house was gonna be destroyed a second time.” Enoch said, squatting down beside Jacob while holding out an umbrella for both of them.
“Sorry.” Jacob voiced, not looking at Enoch once. He kept his head hung low, the weight of his guilt weighing down his heart.
“This is about Noor, is it?” Enoch asked.
Jacob nodded. “Yeah.”

Summary
It comes to no surprise that Enoch and Jacob doesn't always see eye to eye with each other. Partly because Enoch was jealous that Jacob and Emma was getting close. Their conflict only gotten worse when Jacob declared that he'll be staying with the Peculiars in the loop. While everyone is glad and happy, Enoch just didn't trust that Jake would actually stay with them forever.
However, one argument would change their views to each other.
