All Peter’s ever wanted to do was honor his Aunt and Uncle’s legacy, make them proud. He wishes that meant that he could graduate high school, go to college, get an amazing job at Stark Industries or Oscorp, create revolutionary tech- all the things they’d talked about him doing, ever since he was 7 years old and had built his first robot out of the scrap electronics one of their neighbors had tossed in the dumpster.
But, here's the thing. He can't do those things- not anymore.
His Aunt and Uncle also taught him to do what was right, even if it was hard. Even if it cost you- no matter what it cost you.
And when you can do the things that Peter can, but you don’t, and then the bad things happen?
They happen because of you.
OR
A villain-with-a-heart-of-gold AU wherein Spider-Man steals from the rich and gives to the poor, keeps his powers under wraps- mostly- and does his best to stay away from anything that might bring him into SHIELD’s cross-hairs. That is, until a job has him investigating Stark Industries, and the conspiracy he uncovers sets him on a trail that leads directly to the Avengers.

Not literally of course, as it's kinda hard to fall when you’ve been strapped to a table for an indeterminable amount of time, writhing in agony.
But it sure feels like he's falling.
Down, down, down and right out of his mind.
But the worst part is, he doesn’t even think he minds anymore (at least it might make everything stop hurting).
Or, Peter gets bit by a Spider, Norman finds out immediately, and our favorite web-slinger’s backstory takes a few wrong turns and Peter loses his mind.

Yesterday, though, Chiron announced a local restaurant the camp imported strawberries to had been rented for a charity party hosted by Bruce Wayne, with a banquet requesting more strawberries than the restaurant had on hand.

Summary
Living in Gotham wasn’t nice. It wasn’t fun. But Percy was alive, even though now he only had ten dollars to his name after spending some money on a box of plastic water bottles so he didn’t have to resort to drinking harbour water.
Little by little, Percy began to get his bearings and become familiar with the city.
Then the vigilante guy in the bat costume and his neon sidekick broke into the warehouse Percy was staying in.
Or: Nine-year-old Percy Jackson runs away to avoid being killed by monsters like Sally and Gabe, accidentally winding up in Gotham. Bruce's "child with a traumatic backstory" senses activate and Percy gets adopted. It's a nonlinear story, with half of each chapter taking place before the Second Gigantomachy, and half of them taking place after, when Percy returns to Gotham.
