Summary
Ever wonder what the hunger games characters would be getting up to if they lived in the real world? Well, probably not this but it was fun to write sooo.
Katniss was drifting to sleep when her phone rang. “Haymitch?”
“Hey katniss, big guy in charge just quit and he put me in charge so, how would you like to come work at the park?” Katniss shot straight up in bed.
“Really?” She rubbed the sleep from her eyes not quite sure that she was awake.
“Well I figured with Prim going off to college there’s not much left for you in town. What do you say?” He asked though she knew he already knew what her answer would be.
“How soon do you need me?” She stepped out of bed taking a mental note of what she would need to pack.
“How soon can you get here?”
TLDR: All of the hunger games characters are hired to work at what is definitely not a knockoff sea world and a generic ocean themed amusement park where lots of hyjinks ensure, oh yeah and also there’s lore.
Update: Chapters 1-8 were written pre-SOTR but ended up being fairly accurate. I am going back and fixing up some of the spelling and grammar errors in those first chapters though.

Summary
She watched for a moment astonished at how such a short distance had made such a drastic change in the coast. Ginormous black rocks littered the shore leaving only small gaps of beach the biggest being no more than a foot wide. She watched from far off as the waves crashed against the rock the boy was sitting on, he didn’t ever move from his hunched over position. Wind whipped his hair back and yet his face remained firmly planted in his hands.
TLDR; Finnick and Annie meet as kids. Everything is different but the bones are all the same.

Summary
Not wanting to be left home alone over the summer Nathan goes with his wife Cassandra to go stay at her girlfriend Mariella’s farm. He’s convinced he’s going to hate the place before they even step foot in the car and unfortunately he’s right, it’s hot, filthy, tiring and just overall uncivilized, a far cry from what he’s used to. Especially when the neighbors insist on getting to know him and convincing him through cute animals, fresh food, adventure, and friendship (and even a little more) that this place is not as bad as he originally thought.
Follow along as Stanley, Nathan and friends get into various shenanigans and try to keep everything from crashing down ontop of them.

Summary
My uncle is the only living Victor in the District; as such, he is one of the few who never goes hungry. But, as I think about the mandatory Game to watch, I'm not envious of him. The Hunger Games is always bloody and horrific.
But even though Haymitch would have plenty to give, my father never asked him for anything. Which Gale knows very well.
'His brother' I correct Gale darkly. Whatever the conflict between my father and my uncle, my Dad considers him a full-fledged brother, even though their father is not shared. Which, again, Gale knows very well.Or, its a different universe, and Katniss's dad is alive. It helps some things, and some things are...dark as ever.

Both fractured by hidden traumas, their resentment of each other becomes complicated by their mutual longing for human connection.
Content: Most pivotal to this story is the theme of trauma. One significant plot point is Effie's backstory as a victim of childhood sexual abuse. This will never be shown graphically - however, allusions will be made to the nature of her abuse & how it continually affects her as an adult. There will be canon-typical violence, substance abuse, disordered eating, self harm, & dystopian atrocities. There will also be sexual content.
